        You are out to luch.

Calzaghe could have fought: Sven Ottke, Eric Lucas, Markus Beyer, Anthony Mundine, Antwun Echols, Mikkel Kessler, Danny Green, Jeff Lacy.

        You're not getting it.

He never had a great win agaisnst a meaningful opponent, and he was never a unified or undisputed champion.

He fought for nearly a decade at 168 and there's nothing but a long list of excuses for why he didn't fight the top contenders.

There's nothing but TALK with Calzaghe and Warren. TALK about how everyone was avoiding them, TALK about how a number of fighters were ducking him, and all they did was sit in the UK fighting meidocre opposition.

I don't buy any of it. I don't believe it's eveyone's fault but Joe's that he never secured those fights, and I don't buy for a second he had any interest in actually fighting Jones or Hopkins, nor did he deserve to.

His resume sure proves that. The guy has fought bums for years.

Who the **** are they ??

JC would of beaten all of them easily, and instead fought much better fighters like Eubank, Brewer, Reid, Woodhall, Mitchell et al,

JC wanted Hopkins or RJJ, not a bunch of a nobodies,

As for Lacy, well JC has wanted the Lacy fight but Lacy chose to fight Reid instead of JC so its Lacy doin the duckin. JC has a date and a venue in Feb for Lacy but Lacy wont fight him, why? Probably becos Reid has said publicly that JC will knockout Lacy (Reid and JC hate eachother so why would he say that?). Lacy didnt want the JC fight earlier in the yr becos he "wasnt quite ready". Just watch JC easily beatin a fresh Sheika and Lacy strugglin with a faded Sheika.

You've already told me no one heard of Hopkins before 01, and now you're just talking non sense. Eubank was washed up, Woodhall had just lost to Beyer, Brewer was beaten twice by Ottke and then KO'd by Echoles, and Mitchell was also coming off a fight with Ottke, knocked Joe down and then got a BS stoppage.

Calling that list better is a joke.

When he's got a list of fighters in his own weight class that he didn't fight, and just the WBO title, he has no business calling out elite fighters in other weight classes.

That's defeated and piss poor logic.

I've said it before... Calzaghe has been fighting for god knows how long, and we still don't know if he can fight...

dude, dude, dude, you can only beat what is put in front of you and why do you keep bringing up this bull**** about titles.

Woodhall said that JC would murder Beyer in four rounds, Mitchell said after JC fight that he had never been hit so hard so often and that JC would definately beat Ottke, Sheika said that JC would beat Lacy, Reid said that JC would knockout Lacy.

at the end of the day JC has been the best in his division for a long, long time & the only tests for him would of been Hopkins or RJJ.

He's 40-0, and he's the longest-reigning world champion in the whole of boxing. He's held the WBO super-middleweight title for eight years now, and during that time he has beaten former WBC super-middleweight champion and Olympic medalist Robin Reid, former WBC super-middleweight champion and Olympic medalist Richie Woodhall, former IBF super-middleweight champion American Charles Brewer and former WBA super-middleweight champion American Byron Mitchell. He hasn't lost since 1990, he won three ABA titles at three different weights. He's accomplished a lot so far, and wins next year against Tarver and Lacy before retiring would throw him into the HOF and make him a true legend.
