No, but in most cases Floyd has never been politically correct in his approach outside the ring and I don't expect him to be, don't think anyone should...personally. Can't change your mind on this issue but if it helps, mean no offense, it's gonna be hard to share your disgust when you think Floyd would be as vile as to use Frazier's death to big up himself

I don't think Im going overboard, no. But I make no secret that I don't like Floyd or the way he acts. This is the image he has cultivated, this is what I judge him on. Right or wrong, thats how I feel.

To show I am not just trying to put up a biased front I just recieved the PM I've been waiting for. Floyd was not at the funeral but it was rumored he did indeed pay for it. This comes from Henry Hascup. If you haven't heard of him he a legit source and his credentialss back that..

If this is true it is a good thing. But it doesn't cchange my mind on the way he went about it.

Lol, how is it shallow? I don't know him and niether do you. It's an opinion only and it is based on other past actions of his. You're saying Im entitled to my opinion, but at the same time you're cchastising it by calling it petty. What exactly makes your opinion any better than mine? Do you somehow know me better than most know Floyd through his own actions and words? I sincerely doubt it.

I wouldn't say my opinion is better, just less tainted. I don't clog up these forums with pointless threads that lack depth and I don't make threads to start arguments. In my mind, that adds some credibility to my case, not that it makes me right and you wrong but I think the point can't be missed that the general tone on these forums can be incredibly hostile and petty alot of the time.

I don't trust everything Floyd says and does in public, he's a promoter dude. He does and says alot of obnoxious things to sell his fights and nurture this "bad boy" persona. I try to focus on the fighter, not what he says, but what he does in the ring.

But I don't think all interpretations should be looked at in the same light, because that's tantamount to saying everyone's opinion matters and that simply isn't true. Some folks are correct concerning the thoughts/interpretations that they offer while others are not. Everything depends on how cogent the argument they offer is and if they can intelligently communicate that point of view.

I wouldn't say I'm "jaded" just really, really wanting folks to forget about personalities and just talk boxing. It feels really weird sometimes to read people writing racial epithets about Mayweather and I'm African American. I won't lie, I feel very threatened by language and pictures that depict Mayweather as an animal. I don't see why folks act like this, I just don't.

Im Italian and I can't stand Paulie Mallignaggi either. It's just my own personal perceptions and how I see things. I've been acccused of hating blacks, whites, Asians, being "self hating" and every other color or nationality because of my opinions and facts I provide about different fighters. But I dare anyone (Im not accusing you of this) to point out a single post where I mention ANY race in a derogatory way. Truth is, I just call it like I see it. If we talk about Floyd you will hear me question how often he fights and how his legacy could have been even greater had he chosen to ffight more instead of just for the highest pay day. You will never hear me question his talent or skills. I don't down grade him because I don't like him on a personaal level.

I feel ya brother, makes sense. There have been a number of black boxers that I don't care for, hell a number of boxers period regardless of the color. Perhaps as I move forward posting I need to look with better eyes than I have been. I've been so obsessed with the Mayweather-Pacquiao match up that I have thought of little else in the boxing world, not like me at all but until fight happens or is definitively avoided, I guess I wait.

This is true, I only know two other people that love boxing as much as I do. It's a shame too, because there are times when I want to discuss this statistic or that, or which promoter said this or that but most people will have no idea who the hell I'm taking about.

He could of worded it better but this is a good thing of him to do whether he's doing it too put himself out there in the limelight or not, Mr. Frazier will get a great funeral service now worthy of him as Chicanito did thanks to Mayweather.

I'm sure Frazier's family are happy with this as well, less money out their pocket in hard times and I'm sure a great service will help ease it somewhat.
