Why the hell are ppl putting so much stock into Kirkland? i thought the fight was disappointing! yes Kirkland won, but he needs to credit that to Angulo who straightup punched hisself completely out!! Angulo had that fight in the bag regardless if it was in the 1st round or not.. Kirkland yes got up and survived. but he didnt beat Angulo at his best. he beat a tired punching bag that couldnt move that much.. I want to see a rematch.. Kirkland doesnt have a chin..

i agree the fight wasnt that great after the 1st even before angulo was knocked down his legs were weak and punches were slow and sloppy but kirkland took advantage of it he was the better man tonight he deserves to be the winner. angulo needs to take a long layoff he got a beat down tonight but in a rematch i give the edge to angulo he will train better kirklands chin sucks

Man you can't be serious with this post. Conditioning is paramount for a fighter to ever be considered elite and Kirkland's conditioning was obviously better than Angulo's. You say Angulo punched himself out but Kirkland threw more punches! So just admit the better man won tonight.

Lets be honest people, after the Ishida fight nobody gave Kirkland a chance to win the fight, much less KO him. Angulo's long inactivity hurt him in this fight and Kirkland showed that a trainer does have a lot to do with whether you win or loose. Wolfe is the right formula for this kid, who IMO is gonna be hard to beat cause his great stamina and he showed tonight that he could box a little too...

The guy came into Angulo's backyard and fought his heart out.. give the man his props. Angulo gassed out for a reason and James put the right amount of pressure on him which made it worse. I had a real gut feeling he was going to pull it off, good on him.

It sucks for Angulo, losing in his homeland like that... but I'm glad for Kirkland, he fought hard and obviously trained hard. The kid has heart, there's no denying that.
