I've always stated that Angulo is super overrated. Don't get me wrong, he is a good fighter but not an elite fight like most people say. I remember threads on a Cotto/Angulo fight and that Angulo would KO Cotto with ease. Angulo doesn't even belong in the ring with Cotto.

Come on now, how is he overrated....I hate this about boxing fans he fought his heart out but lost to the better man....It happens!

Angulo has the same trainer as Marquez. I wouldn't be surprised if MArquez goes out the same way Angulo did. Sorry bro.

Marquez and Angulo are two different fighters. Isn't this Angulo's first fight with Nacho in his corner? You can't teach an old dog new tricks.(pun intended)

Alvarez drops him in the first also but he actually finishes him......something was off with Angulo tonight because he's usually all smiles but even in the fighters introductions he demeanor seemed off....I mean look at his other fights, he actually fights with energy but as soon as the bell rang in the first he already seemed lethargic. Alvarez spanks kirkland easily you can count on that.

I'm loving the excuses.

lmaol what the hell do trainers have to do with that? how many of roach fighters got an ass whooping has pac got one lately??? not to mention beristan pretty much is not the perfect trainer for angulos style remember he was a replacement of angulos previous trainer

Nah.....Kirkland showed heart, he made it happen. ANgulo fought like he fights and he got beat by the better man tonight

yes but he punched himself out. After he stopped punching all his punches where thrown just on pure heart. He should of picked his shots but I think kirlands superior conditioning would of shown in the latter rounds.

lol....I didn't see the war that some of you are talking about. El Perro threw all his bullets in the 1st 2 mins of round 1 and then it was all Kirkland. Angulo has heart but held like a motherf/ucker too. El Perro should thanks Nacho for shorten his boxing career!!! The last couple of rounds were unnecessary!!! Kirkland was in great shape cause El Perro hurt him bad on the 1st but James came back really strong and showed some patience, worked body and face really good....

Want to see WBC and GBP actions to prevent Kirkland/Canelo!!! Kirkland will KTFO Canelo too big too strong!!!

i kind of know what he means. when alvarez got his belt, everyone was saying "oh angulo kills him, he knocks his head off clean" and i remember angulo was inactive at the time or something like that. he wasn't even fighting for the longest and yet he was talked about as a monster, even though cintron outboxed him. idk, he is good obviously, but he did have some hype to him. at least from the comments i saw of him in the forums. kirkland was just the better man tonight, no need to downplay any fighter's ability. both showed heart.
