I love Manny, I'm a huge manny fan. I'm wearing a shirt of this dude right now on Campus to show people who I rep.
But if this is used as an excuse for anything, like his losses and stuff, then it should be used the same for his wins.
So if you say he could have won if he wasn't drained...i'd apply the same to his wins at catchweight.

De la Hoya claims Pacquiao beats weight-drained foes :

MANILA, Philippines – Former boxing great Oscar de la Hoya claimed the reason why Filipino superstar Manny Pacquiao has been successful in his last fights is that he keeps on beating his opponents through the weighing scale.

De la Hoya, who was forced by Pacquiao to quit after an 8-round beating in 2008, made the claim while pushing again for a third fight between the Filipino boxer and Mexican champion Juan Manuel Marquez.

"For me, Juan Manuel won the first two fights and he's the only one who succeeded in creating problems for Pacquiao, a fighter who has always forced his opponents, including myself, to lose weight and leave everything on the scale," De la Hoya said in Boxing Scene.com.

De la Hoya, who owns majority of Golden Boy Promotions (GBP), claims Pacquiao has always forced his opponents to drop down to uncomfortable weights to make the fights.

In their 2008 fight, De la Hoya worked hard to make the 147-pound limit just to face Pacquiao. This, he claims, was the reason he lost the bout.

                who do i believe most?

nacho, who is known to be one of the great trainers of today, and with the reputation to being a straightforwarded, hardcore, say-it-how-is type guy.

Trainer Ignacio "Nacho" Beristain returned to Mexico and wasn't afraid to talk about the key issues of Oscar De La Hoya's knockout loss to Manny Pacquiao. For two months, Nacho trained De La Hoya in Big Bear, California. Nacho, who trains Pacquiao's rival Juan Manuel Marquez, was brought in by De La Hoya to replace Floyd Mayweather Sr. After all the training and all the hype, De La Hoya was beaten up for eight rounds before the fight was stopped by Nacho and others in the corner.

Does anyone else here have this school of thought? Because a "severely drained" fighter is one that can't pull the trigger, one that is weak, and one that is sluggish. Like, DLH when he fought Manny.
I was in the gym with him while training that fight and the Morales fight the answer is no, he was not drained at all for either of those fights and I have read *******s posting this **** to and its disgusting how far they will take things.

However what was going on during Marquez and Morales was Mannys promoter Murad Muhammud and Manny were at odds Murad wanted to get Manny away from Freddy, and Freddy advised Manny to seek legal help because he believed Murad was ripping him off.

For three camps in a row this **** went on, Marquez Battery and Morales Murad was sending people up to the gym daily to not just make sure manny was on track no sir, but to make sure Freddy didnt talk business to him and that Freddy just remained as a trainer.

There were tons of distractions in the gym, as hundreds of Filipino fans would show up to watch him train which is cool and all but Manny spent just as much time taking pictures signing autograps as he did training. all while Murad had some of his thugs up there keeping a close eye, i mean it was so busy there you couldnt even find a place to put your gym bag down it was insane no parking and really no room to work.

you could see it in the gym he was clearly distracted especially when he took Murad to court, as it was proven that Murad was ripping him off infact Murads people accidently gave Mannys attorneys the evidence that he and another promoter were ripping him off.

Israel Vazquez was whipping his ass in sparring going into the Marquez and Morales fights you just knew **** wasnt right...
But to answer the over all question no he was not drained for either fight and distractions do happen they are no excuses they just do happen however its your job as a fighter to not allow it to be a factor.

were talking about facts now? Is it a fact that Oscar really was injecting fluids because Roach said he noticed IV marks right when they touched gloves before the fight? really? is that proof beyond reasonable doubt?

                      hmmm...

is amazing how you put so much stock to whatever roach says negatively about pac as oppose to what he says positively about him. ****** *****.
