Seriously doubt it. Mayweather beat a younger version of the same of today.

This guy is trying to make the Pac vs JMM more dramatic than it is...making it seem like pac will be fighting the better version of JMM at 144 Smdh. I'm hoping Marquez gives him hell win or lose but people need to cut back on the hours of hate...go on a date or something d!ck rider!!!

The reality of things is this: Marquez didn't prepare properly or as he should've for his FIRST fight at WW. It was the first time he was preparing for a fight at that weight out of the blue.

AGAINST one of the most defensively sound boxers in history come on now.

You could tell just by looking at the weigh in photos, where you are supposed to look your best, he was looking soft and with baby fat..

^^ You are not supposed to have gut on a weigh in what the hell is that. Unless you are Tua or Arreola. Nyahaha lol.

But anyways... now you compare that to IN TRAINING photos of him for the Pac fight and he's looking 10 times better ALREADY that he did after training camp for his fight against floyd..:

                These are just facts.

This time he hired a professional conditioning coach and nutritionist who helped him built muscle and put on weight the RIGHT way, he learned his lesson once.

It doesn't take a genius to figure out that if you feel comfortable with the weight and you put it on correctly your performance will be better. If you don't feel comfortable with it and it was put on incorrectly you will look sluggish and just awkward and bloated like Marquez did for the Floyd fight.

This fight against Pac is going to be a war for two reasons::

                - Both open up to fight, they are both willing to exchange which gives a great counter puncher and combo thrower like Marquez a GREAT chance.

                - Both are having excellent training camps and preparing to their best. Expect to see nothing less than the best versions of them that night.

Not to mention... look at their history, their styles were meant for each other. Negative for them but good for us.
Bombs, I think we're in the minority here thinking Márquez is going to give Pacquiao a fight (even if he goes down).

A lot of people tend to write Márquez off at welterweight, but as you mentioned, they fail to consider the following:

a-) He was fighting a VERY defensive fighter
                b-) This is Mayweather...MAY-WEA-THER
                c-) Welterweight

While I agree that the weight disadvantage hindered him, one would be ignorant to not consider the other two points. The fact being that Mayweather's style would always give Márquez fits. Márquez thrives off aggression. Look at his fights with Juan Diaz and Michael Katsidis. He gets tagged, sure...but you're going to get socked as well. Marquez is a terrific counter/combination puncher and with Mayweather you wouldn't see any of that because Mayweather doesn't open up enough to allow those opportunities. And now that I think about it, even if you do, you get countered over and over and over again. His style is a deterrence to aggression, but back to Márquez...

There's one small piece I slightly disagree on and it's that Márquez DID have time to prepare for the fight.

Remember that the original date for the fight was during June or July but was postponed when Mayweather hurt his ribs in sparring. As a result, Márquez got an extra two months to adjust to the weight. So, if anything, that postponement was a blessing since it allowed Márquez to get in better condition. However, any way you see it, Márquez was going to get his butt kicked [against Floyd].

With Pacquiao, I think the nutritionist/conditioning coach will help Márquez get ready to AT THE VERY LEAST give one last hurrah against Pacquiao and I think he will look better than most are expecting.

Let's just hope he doesn't turn into Mosley or Clottey or that his age doesn't suddenly turn him into a sitting duck that night.

although marquez did look like he was fighting a much bigger man in there, i think fmj beat him more on skill than anything else...both of those guys are natural counterpunchers...and i'm not big on excuses...so...marquez reconditions himself at 147, sure he could make it a tougher night for fmj, but because marquez couldn't find fmj in the first fight, i don't think marquez can mount enough of an attack to put a beating on him
