Why people saying that Sergio should stop worrying about WW's and move up and fight? If he says he can make the 150 then why not? Don't give me that BS excuse that Sergio is to big, Manny fought Margicheato at 150 so throw that excuse out the window. I don't think this fight would ever take place because Manny has no balls to take the fight. First Manny says he'll fight Sergio only at 150, probably thinking that Sergio couldn't make that weight but when Sergio says he can make 150 Manny gets scared and changes his mind and says he'll fight Sergio at 147. Manny just tryin to avoid Sergio, lets be honest.

Martinez isnt too big hes too good, Pac will never fight a Martinez for the same reasons hell never fight other top guys in and around those wt classes. If Martinez gets beaten down and looks like shiaat Manny will then fight him because thats what Manny does, just look at Maravillas last 4 or 5 fights then look at Mannys that says it all........Robinson,Duran,Hearns,Benitez,Mosley,De lahoys and soo many more they all were at one point where Manny is today top welterweights and they all faced the best 154lbers in their time, to establish supremacy its a time honored boxing tradition.Manny doesnt get a pass especially Manny with all the hype surrounding him.Martinez looks straight up fat at 160lbs he fights there because all these Puzzies dont want none hes very much a natural 154lber thats how good he is, and Manny /Arum or Gayfeather arent about to give him the opportunity like gladiators of the past have done and thats definitley a knock on them, and its a loss for the sport and its fans.

Did you even read the article? Marley said that PAC would take the fight if was at 150 - unlike Fraud "VAGINA" May-never, who just picks on inexperienced ww and calls them a big threat when you know that Ortiz wasn't experienced mentally. PAC challenges his legacy while Fraud just talks about his. PAC fights bigger more experienced fighters, while Fraud cherry picks his.

if pac beats martinez, im sure you'll be the first to say martinez is old and was weight drained...as if i dont know.

to be honest, i dont know who wins, but the weight advantage would favor martinez...pac has fought many guys bigger than him...lets see martinez play the pacman role and start fighting bigger guys than him...challenge himself to see how far he can go...fight the TOP 3 super middleweights or fight the best light heavyweight, put everything in perspective...and be the one on the disadvantage as far as height/weight/reach...pac has done it many times...time for martinez to do the same if he is looking to become the #1 P4P since thats what he really wants...is status.

lets see martinez have 3 straight fights against bute, froch and ward...and lets see how his body and career fairs after those 3 fights.
Weight is not the real problem. I guarantee you that Sergio will not weigh more than Margarito did against Manny on fight night. As a matter of fact Sergio weighed 165 pounds in his last fight.

If you look at the weight on fight night between Sergio and his opponents you'll see Sergio was the smaller fighter. Pavlik had almost 20 pounds on Sergio on fight night.

And if you know anything about boxing you'll know that all the great middle weighs fought smaller welter weights. Monzon, Hagler, fullmer, and Hopkins. Nobody knew who the hell Hopkins was until hfought Trinidad and De La Hoya. And both guys strated at lower weight class.

all I hear and seee from you is excuses and sorry ones at that, hell pac has the age advantage , martinez is a natural jr middle hes fat at 160lbs it isnt his fault everyone is scared to fight him at 154lbs.he is just that good. Manny is just as much probably a lot more a reluctant fighter as mayweather Id have to say more and I hate mayweather, but lets face it Pacs opposition for being named number one is sorry just plain sorry, cant have it both ways bro, you cant to claim to be a 8wt champeen and number 1 then run like a biatch when someone legit comes along ,its called being fair.Pac touts himself as an 8wt champeen , he can fight the bums but not the great guy???whatever dude, heres a napkin.Pac will never fight anyone that good that much is clear they should take his ranking away for that reason .I sincerley beleive that writers have kept manny at number 1 in hopes of a mayweather fight but manny has done nothing to keep that title, so it should just be given to Martinez, because he ACTUALLY fights the best unlike Manny.Manny is nothing more than arums money machine and hes gonna keep fighting the bradleys, margs, and clotteys into retirement.....

Aaaaaa...didn't Marley say that Pacquiao said that he would be interested to fight Sergio if the fight was at 150lbs? I've read that some place in the article,...
"Pacman, the king of all welterweights unless Mr. Floyd Mayweather proves otherwise, has remarked a couple of times this week that he is more than willing to fight the middleweight champion from Argentina if the bigger man can weigh in at 150 pounds, three pounds above the welterweight limit."Read the article first before you comment.

fight will never happen, arum saw what happened when his cash cow pacquiao fought margarito and how pacquiao was in real pain (i remember pacquiao's knees buckling from a body shot). arum won't allow this to happen, i think i remember reading somewhere he said it won't happen. if it did happen, martinez whoops pac. martinez is wayyyy more athletic than the fighters pacquiao has been fighting as of lately, and martinez is naturally bigger.

What would that say about Pacquiao if he does fight Maravilla; if Maravilla "is really that good..." - and beats Maravilla. What would that say about Pacquiao I wonder...? And more importantly what would that say about Fraud because Manny fought Maravilla first...? Hmmm...would YOU - boxingfan76, finally give props to PAC? Or would you be a hater till your 6th under?

I don't know what everyone is arguing about. The situation is real simple.

Manny is not required to fight Sergio because Sergio is not a welter weight. Fighters are not obligated to move up and the only thing Manny is obligated to do is clean out the welter weight division.

However, it is not uncommon for welter weights to challenge middle weights. So, Sergio, who has paid his dues as a fighter, is trying to get the biggest pay day of his career and also, be apart of a huge event. What fighter wouldn't want to get paid more and be part of a huge PPV event. You can't hate on Sergio for wanting that.

Also, Sergio is not calling out Manny or Floyd because they are smaller, he's calling them out because they represent the most money and the biggest boxing event.

Its simple, Sergio wants more money and exposure, and Manny, might want to take a shot at the second most coveted belt in boxing, the middle weight belt.
