It won't happen, Pacquiao wants him to go down to 135lbs,naw just 147lbs.and Top Prank don't take chances.

I would love to see this fight. Dont get me wrong, I would much rather see it at 154, however, for a guy that makes as much as manny and has already proven so much in the sport, going to 154 could be very dangerous. i mean one thing to keep in mind about pac, he may dominate a fight, but with his style he will still take punches, because he likes to mix it up and go to war. and he has a good chin, so he may take more punches than he should. he absolutely dominated cotto and margarito but after the fight his face still had some bruises. however, if sergio makes 150 and doesnt look drained those same risks would still apply even at 150. i don't like catch weights but i don't really mind them when your coming up in weight like manny has the last couple of years. they bother me when the opponent looks weight drained though. however in the past, in my opinion, oscar was the only opponent manny has faced that did look weight drained, i personally feel cotto and margs both looked very good leading up to and in the early rounds of their fight with manny.

        very well said....

aside from the much awaited pac vs floyd tussle, that is nowhere near from being made, a pac vs sergio fight i think is more practical for pac; win or lose pac's legacy will not be dented..a win of course is an added bonus...

i prefer a pac vs sergio fight over pac vs bradley or vs jones...

pac vs khan i believe is presently as remote as pac vs floyd jr....

If it happened at 155+, that would allow either guy to get the lineal MW strap. For Pac that would mean 9 weight division belts and 5 lineal crowns (both record breakers... Pac holds both records). If either guy fights him at 150-154, there's guy who will copy and paste 3 page long essays about cheating history, Sergio being drained, blah blah blah.

So I'll ask again... what the hell does Sergio offer at 150?
Pac holds puffed up fake Arum- concocted records in the wt classes he didnt exactley face the best at many of those wt classes to say those ridiculous belts are something special, great selling point for Arum promotions though.Pac cheats history anyhow so what would be the wrong with facing the best and most dangerous and legit fighters now??? Pac nor Mayweather have faced anyone like Martinez ever!Pacfans get mad and upset when a guy like Sergio issues a challenge that we all know Pac will never take for no other reason that hed get beaten down brutally.....if we can agree that Sergio would be drained at 150lbs than all the more reason for Pac to say yes right?? since when does pac care about cheating history anyhow??? only when it favors him he says yes, that is Pac and thats what I dont like about the dude,I dont buy into the whole humble warrior b.s. hes not humble he spits in fans faces with garbage fights that dont mean a damn thing and then turns around and says"I fight to make the fans happy" dunno what fans hes talkin about but it sure aint payin fight fans, maybe his fans only...and to answer your question what does Pac gain from Martinez? legitimacy which he does'nt own rt now despite hype, again Mayweather and Pac have never faced a guy like Martinez,Pac himself booed Martinez' Williams ko,on a 24-7 ,he knows whats up his silence is deafening.......Martinez isnt too big for either guy hes simply too good....Pac is angry about a Jmm t-shirt which only states the truth but silent on Martinez years and half worth of call -outs and shiat-talk and we all know why ,he dont want none.Just like Maravilla says Pac only fights guys with little to no shot of winning ,thats not even disputable....just look at his last few fights.

Why 150? Let him come in at 154. Those 4 Lbs will change the fight from being full of criticism and being worthless to enhanching his legacy.

Will be outweighed? Yep. Just like he was with Margarito.

Pac could still beat him IMO. Pac weigh in most likely at 148 and Martinez at 154.

That would be an amazing feat for Pac to do that. And if he did do that, and win, it would enhance his legacy toward being a Top 25 ATG or around there. IMO.

honestly I don't see the point of this fight for Pac. He already broke Martinez's daddy's face in (Margarito) and Martinez is a middleweight (2 divisions higher than Pac)

That would be Chad Dawson fighting Vitali Klitchko.

And Martinez isn't top 5 P4P on my list and brings zero money to the table.

I mean the majority of casual boxing fans don't even know who he is and Pac didn't know who he is a few months ago. It was on video.

I think PAC is still too small for Martinez but it might be a good fight? PAC has surprised me before. But if it happened, I'd buy it.
