i would give martinez more credit fighting someone 1 division up against one of the TOP 3 SUPER MID...vs fighting the TOP WELTERWEIGHT two division below him...for martinez to fight a welterweight (one who cant even weigh over 147 on fight nite) is like a light heavyweight wanting to fight martinez...would martinez want a fight against s light heavy weight? its a puzzy move on martinez to want to fight pac, considering the fight nite weight difference will favor martinez by 20 to 25 lbs.

i don't like the idea of a catchweight at all, but if he feels he's capable of doing it, then let's see if pacquiao steps up. doubt it seriously ever happens though, he should just focus on making a name for himself fighting at middleweight and challenging the bigger 154 lbers if he needs to.

what needs to happen is for martinez to start fighting bigger guys at super middleweight, atleast fight all of the TOP 3 supermiddleweights and be like pacquiao fighting bigger guys. i would give martinez credit for doing that vs trying to fight a smaller guy to be outweighed by about 25 lbs on fight nite...fach it, lets see martinez fight the TOP 3 light heavyweights, lets put the weight difference between martinez and pac into perspective...lets see how martinez will deal with such weight/height/reach disadvantage...HAHAHA

Great, so Maravilla rehydrates to 160 maybe more and Pacquiao has to fight Margarito's power with 3 times his speed. Whats the point? I still think Pacquiao would win but its silly if you ask me. to be honest, i dont know who wins, but the weight advantage would favor martinez...pac has fought many guys bigger than him...lets see martinez play the pacman role and start fighting bigger guys than him...challenge himself to see how far he can go...fight the TOP 3 super middleweights or fight the best light heavyweight, put everything in perspective...and be the one on the disadvantage as far as height/weight/reach...pac has done it many times...time for martinez to do the same if he is looking to become the #1 P4P since thats what he really wants...is status.
