Maybe he was nursing the injury from training camp.

After the fall, it dislocated the AC Joint i the already injured Shoulder.

Has happened before, where a small niggling injury has worsened in a bout.

Or Hopkins, who was already pointed out as being abnormally slow, by Max Kellerman "Hopkins looks slow", already had a separated AC joint, and was going to use any fall or foul to claim his shoulder got separated by Dawson and cry foul, while also having positive tests from a doctor. Hopkins is a slow starter yes, but not that slow.

by the same token, his age and standing make no difference...4 round fighters in their debut and fighters as famous as ALI should be held to the same rules, etc...if he was already hurt (icing his shoulders after the FIRST round is an indication something was amiss) and he milked it after the fall, well, thats NOT right is it???

yea but thats no excuse to handicap your fighter by putting ice packs on him. that may numb your shoulder but why the hell would u want a numb/deadend shoulder unless u are already injured. thats the only logical thing. and im really neutral on the whole thing. i like both fighters a lot.
