That eye is gonna get busted up, and Cotto is definitely gonna gun for it. In all honesty, Margarito probably shouldn't be fighting any more.

Yea that eye looks to be an accident waiting to happen. And you know that's gonna get hit a lot due to Tony's style and Cotto's acurracy. And then add the fact that Tony has an incredible chin and heart therefore prolonging a beating.

But the great you speak of wasn't exactly known for taking 5 punches to land one like Margarito is...he's a human punching bag. If he takes anywhere near the punishment he took in their first fight it won't go past 8...it'll get stopped.

I say Margarito tries to blast Cotto out of there early because there's no way the eye lasts double digit rounds...a detached retina and a broken orbital bone...not a good combination.

I think you are spot on, Margarito is gonna try to blitz Cotto in the first end it early cause he and his team dont want to take any chances. That might backfire though cause Cotto always seems to come out really sharp in the first round, he even took the first from Pacman. That said probably a good idea from Margs camp, what else they gonna do outbox Cotto?

I think what he is saying is that boxers do comeback from a detached retina and fight again. Other boxers besides Ray Leonard have done it as well.

This is true. Still, detached retina and literally broken face on an older fighter who has been prone to eating punches his whole career isn't anything to count on.

Here's the thing..broken bone actually mends stronger than the bone was originally...so that's not an issue. The retina has healed and has been cleared by a doctor...not an issue. Lamont Brewster suffered a detached retina during the Sergei Liakhovich fight and recovered and went on to fight without problems...if the doctor says he's ok then it probably isn't going to be a problem or factor. He's 33 yrs old...it's not that old at all and has many good years left.

He is very tough and in very good shape...I think he will probably give Cotto the same fight he gave him the last time and probably KO him in the late rounds. Frankly...IMO it's Cotto who has deteriorated more than Margarito.
