like bernard hopkins said, 154 and 160 are basically the same ****ing thing. any 154lber can be a 160lb'er.

Pacquiao made it clear in the past that he can only fight at 150 and below.

I have no problem with Martinez vs Pacquiao at 150. But I don't understand why ****** idiots are pushing for this fight when if the fight happens at 150 they start crying like ****ing babies and they start saying it should happen at 154.

Either you want it at 150 or the fight doesn't happen and stfu.

      ;-)

are people that ****ing ****** to realize he wont fight martinez because he is a great fighter? at this stage martinez is lightyears better than margarito. margarito is big and slow as hell no boxing skills just to fists and a big heart. Martinez has skill and would knock out pacquiao or margarito. even shane mosley chicken'd out on a fight with martinez. martinez offered to give him the bigger purse and what did shane mosley say? no dice. open your eyes to what is really going on. those guys will never fight martinez because he poses a real threat to anyone like pacquiao or mayweather and they're content on fighting bums who have no chance in hell against them

I think Pac could beat Sergio, but it would be the end of Pac's
career, as he would take just too much damage. As a last hurrah,
I'd be for it, and indeed I have advocated it, in the context that
Pac was said to be soon-to-retire anyway.

Outside of that context, and knowing how hurt Pac was after
Margacheato, insisting on Pac-Martinez can mean you just want
Pac to wind up badly-damaged goods. Is that what you demand
            that his 'fans" should support?

            good post............

Margarito and Martinez are virtually the same size and Martinez said he was willing to come down to 150 to fight Pac, 1 lb less than the agreed catchweight against Marg. Also if people think it's ok for Pac to fight somebody two divisions below, they shouldn't have a problem with Martinez doing the same thing. For the record I'm a Pac fan and I think he would beat Martinez (too much hand and foot speed), I'm just tired of these cry babies saying stuff like "fight somebody your own size".
Because Pac has option at 147! Pac's hunting that Little Pusssy Floyd! That's the money fight! And dont believe the hype that Floyd will fight Martinez! There's more Chance of Pac fighting Martinez than a Floyd fight with Martinez. So just relax! Watch how Pac KO JMM & hope Floyd find a ****k!

it is very clear that you wholly ignore the fact that it was after the marg fight that pac and his team realized that fighting at that weight level is not good for pac anymore....

so you saying "but don't use size as an excuse when it wasn't an issue when he decided to fight Margarito." is really taking it out of context and unreal..

simply put, before the marg fight pac's team had no inkling what such fight with very big men would be like for pac's health...

now they know, and some fans do understand, that there is also a limit how far pac can go....

                  1. I'm pretty sure Pac spars with jr middleweights and middleweights

                  2. They said the same thing after the Oscar fight. 147 is too high for us, we're going back down to 140. 2 yrs later Pac is campaigning as a welterweight.

did you forget how much bigger margarito was than pacquiao?

and margarito doesn't use his size(except to move forward)- martinez does

if martinez wanted to use his speed and reach to box pacquiao from the outside all night long, pacquiao can't do anything.

It would be like Klitschko vs Adamek

You just don't get it. When the fans, Bob Arum and Freddie Roach say Martinez is too big for Pacquaio, that is a euphemism for too good. Think about it! Why would you get in the cage to fight a lion (Martinez, Mayweather) when you can fight a clawless, old housecat (Margarito, Mosley, Clottey) instead.
