Martinez is not too big for Pacquiao

I'm tired of this "Martinez is too big for Pac" bull****. When Margarito fought Pac at 151, he rehydrated to 165 on fight night. When Martinez fought Barker at 160, he rehydrated to 165 on fight night. Margarito and Martinez are virtually the same size and Martinez said he was willing to come down to 150 to fight Pac, 1 lb less than the agreed catchweight against Marg. Also if people think it's ok for Pac to fight somebody two divisions below, they shouldn't have a problem with Martinez doing the same thing. For the record I'm a Pac fan and I think he would beat Martinez (too much hand and foot speed), I'm just tired of these cry babies saying stuff like "fight somebody your own size".

But Martinez is not a natural WW. The man has the punch resistance and power of a MW. That's what people mean when he is too big for Pacquiao.

Man, this is easy. Margarito was big, slow, and lacked head movement making him the ideal Pacquiao opponent. He was also coming off a relatively recent KO loss to Shane Mosley and he was never that good to begin with. In Sergio you have a guy with decent handpseed, head movement, and solid punching power. Sergio is also a counterpuncher which we all know is like kryptonite to Pacquiao. You have all these attributes combined with Sergio's size to create the nightmare opponent for Manny. So there is no way they are going to take that fight.

You're talking about Pac's team deciding whether or not to take the fight, I'm talking about boxing fans crying about Martinez being too big.

Not all boxing fans think he's too big for Pac, just some fans do. His skillset along with his size makes him too much for Pacquiao and anybody can see this.

The guy fought against his biggest opponent at his highest weight with Margarito, and was able to determine that his future campaign belongs at 147. And he doesn't even weigh in at the full 147. Some people literally just want to cry all day about this nonsense.

Just because Pac kicked the **** out of Margarito, a bigger fighter. Does not obligate him to fight every bigger fighter.

If Martinez can't entertain himself at 160 and 154, then he should take his own advice and go up another weight class. When he's in any position to dictate terms to Pacquiao or Mayweather, he will. Until then, he's stuck with the comp at MW/JMW.

Sergio and his people said that he is a blown up WW, go down to 147 and prove it, if not STFU. He has fought at WW in the past why not fight Pac at 147?
