He also did what he wanted pre-fight and at the weigh-in. He had Marquez train and prepare for a fight at 144, while he was always going to come in as a full fledge welter. It doesn't matter what Mayweather did in that fight, it doesn't mean anything. He should've been fighting a top welter, which compounds the uselessness of it. We saw what difference a couple lbs made between two similar sized opponents in Corrales and Castillo in their rematch. Mayweather cheated a guy who was significantly smaller and coming up two divisions as it was. No wonder he was able to toy with him. That fight is null and void, a meaningless farce.

Floyd fought Mosley, who called him out in front of everybody, right after this. Was he legit? Pacquiao refused to fight him at this time.He also did what he wanted pre-fight and at the weigh-in. Of course it was. Mosley win is his greatest win at welter, even if Mosley was 38 and coming off a year long layoff. He should've been fighting those calibre fights after Hatton, and instead of Marquez, retiring/taking vacations.
And Pac had no need to fight Mosley, he wasn't yet a welter, fought Hatton weighing 138, then tested the waters fighting the guy that beat Mosley, Cotto, who was closer in size to Pac than Mosley (considered the strongest welterweight back then) and who most people preferred to see Pac fight anyway as it was a gauranteed exciting fight.Last edited by RuMbLe; 10-20-2011, 07:16 AM.Comment

Really Maniac, co-signing on that chumps post. You do know he's loving Pacman-Marquez at the same weight right?Comment

Level of opposition homey. Sweet pea dances through Floyd's resume undefeated. Floys loses to a prime Tito, Oscar & maybe even Chavez. Prime, not part time 34 year old Oscar, but the prime vesion that Sweat Pea may have beaten.Originally posted by Floyd SinclairGreat post right here, especially the bolded. Some people on here think Sweet P was betterComment

Floyd truly is a special fighter, you have to admit that even though you might not like him at all.
I'm confident he would beat Sergio, and he might beat Pac to. It's pretty much a 50/50 fight IMO.Last edited by Bring It On; 10-20-2011, 09:44 AM.Comment

I too believe that floyd would beat pacquiao by decision but at the same time i also believe these two elite fighters fight at the level of their opponents...more so pacquiao. i think he carries them.
this pac is much different than that which fought marquez and we really haven't seen what he really could do.
i also believe that this new style of mayweather gives the best chance to win...aggressively initiating the contact instead of waiting to see what his opponent gives him. its risky because he also leaves himself open but at the same time it takes away the punches pacquiao throws that many fighters say its so fast that you can't see.Comment

Ok so I will never agree with Mayweather coming in over weight, it was unprofessional and cast a shadow over a brilliant performance, there simply is no excuse for that.
However, I was sitting in bed last night watching HBO on demand and I decided to rewatch "Marquez's Greatest Hits" for probably the 100th time. Guys please go watch this because it is literally hilarious to watch Pac go life and death with Marquez 2 times, lose more somewhere between 15-18 rounds out of 24, and win by a single point between the two fights and then...u watch Floyd literally toy with Marquez, make him look like a complete amateur, and completely embarass one of the best fighters of our time. Please watch it guys it is literally hilarious watching Pac fight Marquez and then Floyd fight him haha.Comment
