actually Witherspoon probably has better overall skills. . . But Helenius is too tall to fight like Witherspoon. . . It's all relative to the style they choose to fight in. . .

ahhh. . . yeah that'll do it. . that yack will break ya back. . . it's hard to believe he didn't have a better career watching him against holmes (but i guess don king and the nose candy don't help)- i'd never seen this fight against holmes. . . only fights ive seen of him is his later days.

Thats a fair point, also, just the record of 15-0 doesnt mean as much as where each fighter was at in terms of experience and quality of opposition by the time they got there.

Most of his losses came later in his career after he'd already been screwed over by Don King and was just in it for the money. He beat a lot of top fighters from the 80's including Carl Williams, Frank Bruno, Bonecrusher Smith (he threw the second fight with Smith to get out from underneath Kings contract), Ribalta, Tubbs, Page, Snipes. Not a great era, but there was certainly talent. Unfortunately most of it was wasted.

I don't agree with your opinion but I can respect it. Foreman was a master at cutting off the ring and had a brutal two handed attack to the head and body. Helenius may get there one day, I hope he does, but as of now his flaws would be capitalized on in my opinion.

doesnt mean he could beat Helenius.

David Haye IMO is more skilled than Wladimir yet we saw what happened.
More athleticly gifted is what you mean

It really is a no-brainer. Based on his past three fights it's pretty damn obvious that Helenius is slow, mechanical, unskilled, and lacking any real natural talent. He fits right in with today's crop of frauds but gets chewed up and spit out by Heavyweights who actually have talent and know wtf they're doing.

True, but there are basics to boxing that you see heavyweights like Helenius are completely ignorant about.

How would it hurt Helenius at his size to move his hands, move his head, feint, just give his opponents something to think about all the time?

Witherspoon by a wide margin. Helenuis isn't even in the same league as Witherspoon!

Okay now you're showing your agenda and bias.

Im not offended at all my man. Helenius is a tough kid and I like the way he is willing to fight good comp in order to improve. I just don't see the skills. You think he'd dominate the 60's and 70's, yet Joe Bugner didn't and he was nearly the same size as Helenius.[/COLOR]
that's as logical as me saying that Helenius would destroy Liston or Louis since them and Peter are roughly the same height.

                      I agree with this.
