Sorry B-hop, but Dawson was the one who came to fight. He was pushing forward, throwing more punches and I had him going 2-0 up.

I do hope Bernard keeps fighting, but in this case his 'veteran tricks' back-fired.

I don't understand how anyone can be so certain of what the outcome would have been. If we go by the first 2 rounds of a fight, Zab Judah would only have one loss on his record. Hopkins would have lost badly to Pascal both times. Linares would have slaughtered DeMarco on the same card. There is a reason they are scheduled for 12 rounds!

Or how about Dawson vs Pascal and Hopkins vs Cloud? I'd be happy with that. the demand for a dawson/hopkins rematch is really low I think, so this might make more sense.

Wheres the loyalty for the legends on this forum? Shouldn't we giving B-Hop the benefit of the doubt and siding with him? Hasn't he been a bigger part of our boxing viewing experience over the past 20 years than Chad Dawson? It would be like if Shaq got slammed into by Dwight Howard, and the ref called a defensive foul on Shaq costing his team the title. If everybody was like oh man Shaq is such a cry baby, he faked falling etc., I would be like WTF. Shaq is a legend, wheres the respect for the vets?

Hopkins has been doing this for years, that's why he doesn't get the benefit of the doubt. It's not like he's never faked the severity of a foul before, he does it all the time.

Chad was manipulated like a child by Hopkins into totally losing his composure and is 100% at fault here. The TKO decision was ridiculous and idiotic. And how hinky was it the way they spirited the offending ref out of the arena so quickly? When have you seen that in a controversial decision? Never. The call was bad and they know it. It'll be overturned.

As for Hopkin's performance, anybody thinking the fight wouldn't be an ugly, clinching, sneaky foulfest was indulging in the same make believe that Chad succumbed to.

The drama was never gonna' be in the brawl or artful boxing. We were paying for the undercard and to be live viewing when the question of whether B-Hop could postpone the inevitable yet again was answered. It was. He did.
