NO ONE wants to see Popkins fight(cant say that)cheat ANYMORE.Since the second Taylor fight when HE realized he cant avoid shots on skill(ala Mayweather,Toney,Whitikar)hes become hit and HOLD hopkins. Its laughable thatthis guy calls himself a warrior,he throws a punch ,immediatly clinches,he lets gothrows another then clinches. Its embarrissing when a fighter is a little too quick to CHEAT(yes holding is illegal)ala Calzaghre and Dawson he looks for a way out.Hes a clown.Popkins KNOWS without holding he wouldnt be inthe top twenty of HIS DIVISION and would have been kod about 7 times by now.Andre WARD.Berto, and Popkins need to be off tv because there holding makes fights unwatchable and extremely unfair.

Piss poor officials and judges are messing boxing up

It's not always the fighters that stink up the outcome of fights; most often it's the judges and officials who have never taken a blow. I just witness this guy get straight up robbed in Germany by who other than the Ref. He had the home town fighter down like threee times and the ref kept taken a point away for low blows until he finally disqualified him while he was on the verge of a KO. No one seen these low blows but the ref, the replays didn't show it, the announcers didn't see it but this guy is trying to make a living Cisse Salif.

Wheres the loyalty for the legends on this forum? Shouldn't we giving B-Hop the benefit of the doubt and siding with him? Hasn't he been a bigger part of our boxing viewing experience over the past 20 years than Chad Dawson? It would be like if Shaq got slammed into by Dwight Howard, and the ref called a defensive foul on Shaq costing his team the title. If everybody was like oh man Shaq is such a cry baby, he faked falling etc., I would be like WTF. Shaq is a legend, wheres the respect for the vets?

Hopkins is 110% correct here, he solidified his argument in my eyes once a doctor checked him out and co signed him. you can even see it when Max asked him to compare both his shoulders, 1 was more swollen and pushed up than the other. you might like him, you might hate him but there shouldn't be no form of opinion that should over ride fact and fact is Bernard did a Boxing move, something Boxers do, Chad did something Boxers don't do.

Chad's biggest argument was that he needed room so he pushed Bernard and then he was complaining about Bernard resorting to holding. be as it may Bernard may have been holding and in Boxing that might not be considered clean and it may be frustrating but we all know Boxing is 90% mental anyway so one could argue maybe Bernard did that to get into Chad's head which technically worked, correct? see, that's a BOXING move, something a Boxer will do and it applies to Boxing

once you lose your temper and you lift up and slam a fighter that is no longer Boxing related, he picked him up and dropped him down so hard it caused his shoulder to dislocate. seems to me that Chad got angry that Bernard grabbed him and blew his fuse and just slammed Bernard completely losing his temper which isn't allowed in Boxing it's an automatic loss in Boxing when you commit a foul and the other guy can't continue because of the foul you committed, so how does this result in a TKO win is what I want to know?

why should hopkins get our loyalty? his fights are horrible foul fests and he always fakes getting fouled or he milks the foul way longer than he should. no one is gonna pay to see hopkins fight again.

People need to learn how to use the words tackle/slam/bodyslam etc because what happened that night was not any of those things. If he tackled or slammed him to the ground he would've gone down with him. He just stood up and shrugged him off. His left hand barely made contact with the right leg and even that happened while he was already in the air. Whether it was a foul or not is a separate issue, but it certainly wasn't a tackle or a bodyslam.
