Why roll the dice fighting Sergio when you're guaranteed 2+ million PPV fighting Pacquiao.
Floyd doesn't appear to want to do business with Arum which is understandable because they are involved in a lawsuit. TR signed Bradley so it seems clear Bradley and Manny is next.

Hopefully the new HBO sports chairman will make floyd and manny fight.

now 154-156, I think is legit, but its not as much of a risk - going to get the undisputed MW title which is what would really make me jump back on the bandwagon. but 154-156 I can live with b/c sergio's the one that's been begging.

anything under 154 and I don't care about the fight, kinda like how I don't care about manny-jmm.
If the fight happens, it's at either 154 or 155.

No way it happens at 157.

154 is fine with me I imagine Martinez can make 154 without much trouble.

I agree anything below 154 is worthless.

It is fine that Pac lets Floyd fight Sergio next, it is only being polite to give Floyd the chance to be the best fighter of the first quarter of the next decade anyway.

When floyd beat Ortiz many writers moved floyd up to #1 p4p and I think rightly so. No matter how biased we as fans are, floyd fighting and beating ortiz makes manny's fights, particulalrly the catchweight fights with cotto and margarito a little less impressive.

Floyd/Martinez wouldn't be the fight to get manny, because no matter what lens you look through, floyd remains the biggest draw in the sport. He'd be helping sergio elevate his profile.

WHile its clear youre a manny fan, you can't change the facts. The only ww he's fought at 147 was Clottey. The other ww fights have been cotto (145) and Shane after the Mora draw (which was at 154).

Manny is fortunate he can make money fighting non competitive fights against top rank fighters. Hopefully, the new HBO sports chairman will force MAnny to fight floyd, a fight which most ******** houses have floyd as a 2-1 or 3-2 favorite.

I think sergio might have a little trouble with 154, he looks like a full blown MW to me, but he says he can do it, so its on him. it's reasonable.

he might say he can get to 150, but I wouldn't beleive that for a second.

I think it would be ATG legendary if floyd went after the undisputed MW crown at this point in his career against a fighter like sergio. so I'm doing a little bit of fantasizing with the 157 and up.

maybe sergio can get 155 and come in a 159 like floyd did vs marquez?

While we do not have official numbers, it has been said by fat dan and other decent sources, pac vs mosley did 1.2-1.4m ppv, higher than what he did vs margo anyway at showtime

that makes it impossible for hbo to make those two guys do anything as showtime will steal them away

floyd vs manny would never fight, if floyd does take on the martinez fight which I know he wont, we will know he isnt afraid to fight pac at all which looks like he is atm

nawww man, ortiz aint impressive as wasnt mosley for pac, ortiz just two fights ago drew to peterson and before that lost to maidana

boxing is a business now, before it was about pride. both guys pac and may have been cherry picking for years and it will carry on till they go

If Sergio fights Pac at 150, which is the only weight Pac said he'd do it at, but he's been silent since Sergio agreed to that, it's worthless. I'll give him as much credit as I do for beating Cotto after the Margarito KO, which is some credit but not huge credit. If Floyd beat Sergio at 154 or Pac did, they would get huge credit from me. Sergio usually weighs in at 158-159 and comes in around 164-165 on fight night. If Floyd fought him at 154, Dibella even said they will agree not to come in over 164 lbs (which is what Ortiz weighed on fight night).

Now...if Floyd went up to say...157 to fight Sergio, it should be for the lineal MW championship. I don't care if its not 160, Pac won a 154 lb title fighting at 150, so c'mon!

If he beat Sergio at 157, how would he not get one of the biggest wins in recent boxing type of credit???
