To me Bernard faked the injury. It seemed like he wanted no part of Dawson and was looking to get an easy win thinking Chad would get disqualified for the shoulder push.

also it made me lol when he said he has a lump on his shoulder and then both his shoulders actually looked the same

To be honest from the replay it doesn't look like Hopkins intentionally jumped on Dawson. It looked like he lost his balance after missing the punch he threw. And then Dawson threw him off his back. This might very well have been two unintentional fouls.

He did that several times in the fight. Its a rough house tactic that is also illegal. One time he pushed Dawson down onto the canvas. But that time Dawson had enough and threw him off

Man, a bunch of haters in here. The proper thing for Chad to do would have been to hold and let the ref break up the fighters and warn Hopkins for leaning, if it was even merited. Chad is a ***** for acting like he actually ko'd Hopkins after the fight. That was pretty pathetic.

The ref never warns Hopkins for that crap, he does it in nearly every fight. Chad was letting him know he wasn't taking that sh** without consequence. Great move by him, maybe Hopkins will think twice about jumping on someone's back and trying to weigh them down.

Chad's a strong dude, he had Hopkins off the canvas without grabbing his leg, just from upper body strength.

BS...Hopkins did it several times in the fight. Look at 1:30 in the 2nd round where Hopkins does that and pushes Dawson to the canvas. You dont lunge onto somebodies back like that and not except to get thrown off. YOU DONT BELONG ON A FIGHTERS BACK!

Leaning on someone like that, drains the energy from the person being leaned on. Its not a part of boxing and Bernard has done it his entire career. The proper thing to do, would be to actually fight within the rules, something Bernard doesn't really do.

most of the contact was absorbed by his legs and back. Its not like he fell right on his shoulder. Its not the 1st time Hopkins fakes an injury. He faed having a concussion from a lil tap on the back of the head agaisnt Roy Jones too
