I think the point he's making is that the hospital trip was voluntary and not out of necessity. He was sent home with some pills, not a date for surgery, or to see a specialist, which is what a severe shoulder separation would require.

By that logic ; Hopkins was responsible for 9/11.

It makes perfect sense, if you really think about it. Hopkins had a fight with Trinidad in New York that same month. Hopkins also came out with an American flag around his neck, capitalising on the patriotism the Country felt at that time, gathering himself a bunch of new fans who otherwise never would have cared for him.

      Therefore, Hopkins is a *********.
Not what I said at all. Just as Lampley and Kellerman were talking about how the reputation of a fighter is what can influence a judges scoring,

"if you're known as a defensive fighter and you're game plan is to slow the other guy down, it appears to the judges that you are doing your job better than the guy who is supposed to be the more offensive fighter when you as the defensive fighter, aren't allowing him to be as offensive", to paraphrase.

The same applies here. Hopkins reputation is that of a dirty fighter who uses all of the tricks in the book to win. Some of those tricks being, faking injury to buy time. The ref, knowing Hopkins past, obviously felt the same thing was going on, asking him, "can you continue?". Bernard, being the ass that he can be says in a sarcastic tone, "yea, with one arm", all while implying that his shoulder was truly hurt. Hurt, like he claimed in the past, and he really wasn't.

      The boy who cried wolf.

Lampley and Kellerman were just talking about how the reputation of a fighter helps how they are viewed in regards to scoring. Refs know of Bernards reputation in regards to claiming injuries when there are non. It backfired on him last night whether he was really hurt or not.

You people are a ****ing joke. You've probably never had any injury any more serious than a splinter.

This is a clear "no contest" if I've ever seen one.
        You mean "armchair doctors".

Never seen so many unschooled doctors in my life.

This forum has become a joke.

The fuxking guy has a serious shoulder injury from a 17 year

younger fighter picking him up and dumping him

Losing his composure from Hollis in freaking 5 minutes.

I mean how mentally weak is Dawson that he lost all composure

and pulled that stunt within 2 rounds then went AWOL

After the fight talking **** to an injured fighter of 46 years old then

flipping out in the post interview. What a psycho.

Regardless of past incidents (Jones and Calzaghe) it doesn't change the fact that the referee himself blew the call. You can't score a TKO without even landing a boxing related blow.

This is the thing about Hopkins PPVs, it's a risk. So glad this "OG" got what he deserved for the bullshit faking style that he's used to doing (or Hopkins fans call it sweet science) in the ring. He saw that he couldn't rough up Dawson so he quit. Thank the lord for Linares who was a true warrior in defeat on the previous fight. That's a true "G".

True, but you gotta remember it's expensive to watch the even, $55 in USA. Hopkins has a history of faking and no one wants to pay that to watch a two round NC. I gaurentee if the ref called a NC , everyone on here calling for a NC would be screaming Hopkins wanted out.

did you even see the fight? Not sure how any objective person that watched that fight could hold that position. I think the reason Dawson was so mad was that he knew this was his fault, thats a tough pill to swallow thus all the antics. Just like a little kid when they are busted but dont want to own up to it. Funny actually.

I saw the fight. He couldn't bully Dawson around like he did the guys that usually come up in weight to face him. Top it off it was pathetic how Kellerman was hugging Hopkins' nuts. Sort of like his stans on here.

But honestly, I can understand this being changed to a NC. If not though, KARMA is a *****!!

I'm not disagreeing with you on that point.

However, there wasn't any foul called, and Bernard didn't continue. Yea, it sucks, especially at a time when another high profile fight ended controversially, but Hops pretty much did this to himself.
