I fell on my shoulder a few years ago and it was a sideways fall with all the weight on the shoulder and none on the elbow. I tried to take it for about 2 weeks but I finally broke down and went to the ER. They did X-rays first......................the thing is, x-rays only look at dense matter, such as bone and joint. They told me that the shoulder socket was inflamed but I would have to go to a specialist for more information. The specialist looked at the x-ray and told me that the joint was swollen and needed like 2 months AT LEAST, in order for it to heal. I passed the range of motion and resistance tests for the rotator cuff examination so I was good to go. If I had failed that, he would have needed to do an MRI to look at the soft tissue for ligament damage and/or muscle damage.

The AC tear is on the top of the shoulder and is very common in football players. Either the shoulder sags low or there is a lump in between the end of the collar bone and the shoulder....these are the "tell-tale" signs of this type of separation. All the doctor needs to see is the lump and he knows what it is...there is no need for any further examination in order to determine a diagnosis for this injury.

Clearly, Hopkins knows how to play the game. He can be seen as someone who has made things up, and faked it.
HOWEVER, if a doctor CONFIRMS an injury, then it's ****ing confirmed. If you want to go call the Doctor and do an investigation, then so be it.
B-Hop is injured.

For those that want to be trolls and say oh, he shouldn't have jumped on his back: watch the replay from ALL angles. You will see Dawson SCOOP his legs up as he ducks, after B-Hop misses a charging right hand shot.

someone has to make a gif of that fall. how in the hell one could suffer a dislocated shoulder injury in there? it's probable he suffered it during training and just agravated it there, wouldn't it?

agree 100%. . . Probably best it was stopped because we want to see Hopkins as many times as possible before hanging 'em up - and if he fought on it would have been a one-sided loss as well as career ending. . .

Im all for the commission turning it into a NC and ordering an immediate rematch unless Dawson wants to forfeit the titles and they both move their separate ways. . .

When I saw the replay(from the camera that's looking down on the ring from the ceiling, lights or where ever the hell it's hanging from) it was VERY CLEAR Hopkins landed on his elbow & that by itself is VERY PAINFUL & CAUSES SOME SORT OF DAMAGE THAT A FIGHTER WOULDN'T OR SHOULDN'T BE ABLE OR BE ALLOWED TO CONTINUE!! Just Imagine adding dislocating his shoulder!! It should have been a NO-CONTEST..

Chad dawson is a loudmouth punk talkin all that mess after the fight he hooked the leg and pushed him over to me its a foul maybe not blatantbut yes like somebody said in a previous post hopkins always starts.slow and always finishes hard towards the end it would've been dawson who didn't come to fight he won't have them belts long anyway f- him.

Why would he have wanted out of the fight early? It was a competitive match...he was fouled, and then injured. He didn't want this. No TKO.
