  • To me it looks like BHop did his best to embellish the fall the way soccer players do when they get tangled up with another player.

He doesn't land on his elbow or shoulder. His feet, legs, and hip all touch the ground first and bear the weight of the fall.

If his shoulder is slightly injured, it might have happened when he rolled over to his side and threw his legs up into the air to try and make it seem like he actually landed on his shoulder first.

AC separations are graded for a reason. Making comments like this make u look really ignorant. Initial injury can be just as painful as a dislocation. I know from personal experience and textbook readings.

B-Hop got what he deserved whether legit injury or not. He ducked chad then when cornered looked for a way out.

During the second, Hopkins leaned over on Dawson, who used his shoulder to push him off. Hopkins went down near the ropes and told the referee, Pat Russell, that he suffered a shoulder injury and couldn't continue. Because there was no foul involved, Russell ruled the fight in favor of Dawson and made him the TKO winner.

First, it is a completely wrong to say Hopkins was "released from the hospital." He was never admitted, so he was never released. This is misleading and gives the impression that he was much more seriously injured than he was. Second, saying he has a separated shoulder is meaningless without saying the type. I'd wager my left ball that the "diagnosis" is a Type 1 separation--no displacement. The diagnosis was made solely upon a physical examination and a subjective report of pain by Hopkins. There wasn't time to have done an MRI and got the results. An xray would have been worthless for a Type 1 or Type 2. So, this is a "diagnosis" based almost solely upon a report of pain by Hopkins. It means nothing. If Hopkins releases an MRI showing an injury, I'll believe it. But not this crap.

Look, I'd give Bernard the benefit of the doubt if he wasn't such a notorious faker. He faked horribly against guys like Calzaghe, Jones, etc. Hell, I even gave Cintron the benefit of the doubt for his flop against Williams. But Bernard made his bed with his terrible faking in the past. Right or wrong, everybody assumes he's faking now and I won't believe otherwise until he releases objective proof establishing an injury.

        • Gotta love all the armchair quarterbacks in this thread, still continuing to doubt the authenticity of Hopkins' injury, complete with pictures of his medical disgnosis sheet, all behind the false guise of "medical experience".

You people are a ****ing joke. You've probably never had any injury any more serious than a splinter.

This is a clear "no contest" if I've ever seen one.

Anytime you go into a hospital you are released. Look at the paper work about his injury it says "release time & date"

            You're really nitpicking.

Look, I know you love Hops and all, but lets not act like he didn't make this bed himself. Hes exactly the reason why stories like this were told,

Hopkins is the reason why ******ed conspiracy theorists exist?

By that logic ; Hopkins was responsible for 9/11.

It makes perfect sense, if you really think about it. Hopkins had a fight with Trinidad in New York that same month. Hopkins also came out with an American flag around his neck, capitalising on the patriotism the Country felt at that time, gathering himself a bunch of new fans who otherwise never would have cared for him.

                Therefore, Hopkins is a *********.

I was trying to explain this all night but some people will just never understand how easy it is to go to a doctor and say you fell on your shoulder and it hurts, cause that's about all it takes for his diagnosis. So far the net result of his "injury" is 5 mg of vicodin.

                  • Even if Hopkins faked it which it appears he didn't that should still be a no contest, because there was no boxing move that ended the fight and Dawson was involved in the injury albeit an unfortunate accident really.

If a fight ends on some accidental BS before 4 rounds that is a NC in my book.
