Funny actually.
lo funking l "this is Dawsons fault". On what grounds?

Bernard was using his head from the opening bell. He was holding, and then he was leaning on his opponent. He was doing his usual song and dance of dirty dancing.

He may have legitimately got hurt, but this time, nobody really wanted to believe him because of past instances. Its his own fault for building that type of reputation. Jim and Max were just talking about fighters and their reputations and how fights are judged based on those reputations.

Hopkins reputation is that of someone who tries to play mind games, tries to use dirty tactics, and tries to act injured when he wants to buy time.

    Russell called his bluff.

    • It doesnt matter if the injury was legitimate or not. If you hurt yourself and cant continue, then you lose by TKO.

Dawson barely did anything at all, it was very largely Hopkins' own fault that he got injured. If you happen to get hurt, even if its a freak injury, you lose. ie Whitaker-Bojorquez or Vitali-Byrd.

however, there was some incompetent reffing going on in that fight.

not entirely true. Whitaker-Bojorquez, Vitali-Byrd, McCline-Valuev, and Cintron-Williams are all examples of a fighter hurting themselves and losing by tko.

        • I honestly think they should have a rematch on regular HBO within the month.

From what I have heard (honestly not alot) dislocated shoulder injuries do not take long to recover from, and aside from that injury there was very little damage taken in the ring.

**** purses, gate sales, ppv sales... everything the fans got robbed blind by that main event. Get the rematch done ASAP. These guys can get back in the ring soon they didnt take much damage and are still in shape from their training camps.

It was Dawson's fault that Bernard was leaning down on him?

He didn't even dislocate, it was supposedly an AC separation which isn't as bad but even that didn't happen. If something had dislocated it would have to be popped back in, but there's no record or claim of that. He straight faked the whole thing.
