it is a pretty unique scenario. I just have a really hard time watching a guy do something illegal, get injured while doing it, and end up getting a freebie NC when the injury was mostly caused by himself.

Hopkins certainly played a role but Chad was there to, I certainly don't feel sorry for B-Hop is just can call that a TKO.

Just one of those unfortunate accidents, it happens in sports to me NC feels right.

the ref said "if u can continue get up", and hopkins just kept saying "my shoulder man, my shoulder!", and the ref asked him again. . hopkins kept on flailing. . . if ref gave him 5 minutes, hopkins would have just kept on rolling around crying and would ahve been forced to stop it. . .

how do you know what would have happened? Against echols, the same type of injury, he continued to fight after a couple of minutes, so you don't know for certain what he would have done. Also, if the ref said "if you dont continue you lose by TKO" do you think hopkins would have stayed down? come on.

The referee asked Hopkins if he could continue, Hopkins replied "yes". However, the referee made the call that since Hopkins had an injured shoulder he wouldn't allow the fight to continue. There was no quit on the part of Hopkins, nor a lack of willingness to continue. Hopkins should have been given time to recover, a minimum of 5 minutes, with the Dr. also being called to the ring to inspect the injury. That also relates to poor refereeing.


Here are the facts; Dawson committed a foul which resulted in an injury.

I frankly just dont see a Dawson 'foul'. He tried to shrug an opponent off his back, its not even like he stuffed his shoulder into Hopkins or anything.

imo its hard to call it a foul when someone merely moves their shoulder down when another guy is above them. all you have to do is watch the replays.
