Props to Hopkins though. At the end of the day, he didn't really let Dawson beat him. And there's gonna be no rematch. So Hopkins pretty much succeeded. He didn't get the DQ or points deduction he wanted, or even a NC for now, but he can say Dawson didn't beat me. And soon GBP will get the decision overturned, all the Hopkins stans will be happy and Hopkins can go on to fight some one with an easier style who's easier to hit and he can land cleanly on, and not have to make a dirty fight like he was trying against Dawson. Maybe Cloud or a Super Middleweight who comes up in weight, like Kessler or Bute.

Bullshit.

Hopkins was doing just fine in the fight with Dawson. Granted it was fairly uneventful, but Hopkins is always a slow starter to begin with. Apart from that he had Dawson fighting his fight, not the other way around. Chad was barely throwing anything at all, and Hopkins was masterful with his footwork, moving to the outside of Chad's lead foot to take away his left hand.

To top it all off, Hopkins clearly told the referee he wanted to continue twice while on the canvas. Go back and watch the video.

He didn't quit, he was fouled, and dislocated his shoulder. Dawson is a punk bitch with a lisp who is actually proud of himself for winning a title on a clear foul.

It may seem like Dawson was fighting Hopkins fight, but Hopkins was backing up the whole fight while Dawson was pressing Hopkins with his jab. He was doing the same thing Pascal was doing, but Hopkins couldn't land any punches.

Hopkins' biggest fear is his age. He's afraid to leave the sport because he doesn't know anything else. It is all he has ever had in life. If he continues to fight credible opposition, I only see him getting more desperate in the future.

After re-watching the fight, Chad was manhandling him. Hop looked old and whoever said he was going to eventually win is ******ed. I even believe Chad woulda eventually knocked him down, maybe even out

Dude is a big strong dude and Hopkins was fighting very cautiously. He knew those little tactics he used wasn't going to effect him in no way. The fight was on the way to becoming very boring cause Hop woulda just keep circling doing nothin

The way I see it, Hopkins was put in the kind of condition, due to the fall, where deep down he knew he wasn't gonna be able to pull it off, so he looked for a way out because eventually Chad was gonna take the title from him.
