I still see something special in Cotto. He definetly has a CHAMPIONS heart.
so does arturo gatti, and look where that got him against floyd

    "too much speed"

Mayweather was 20-0 and was fighting for a title.

Then Ubaldo Hernandez who lost to Vivian Harris by
a close decision in 12 rounds, 4 months later he lost to Miguel Cotto
      by KO in Round 7

then Rocky Martinez who lost a decision to Paul Spadafora
Scores: (94-97)..Rocky Martinez lost to Miguel Cotto by KO in Round 2

Cotto knocked out Carlos Maussa in round 9 (3 Knockdown rule)

then Victoriano Sosa who lost a decision to Floyd Mayweather Jr
the same guy lost to Miguel Cotto by TKO in Round 4

Kelson Pinto who convingly beat Emanuel Augustus lost to Miguel Cotto
      by TKO in Round 6

Then 2 time Light Welterweight Champion Randall Bailey lost to
Miguel Cotto by TKO in Round 6. Bailey had won WBA n WBO titles
      before.

DeMarcus Corley who got robbed against Zab Judah, But convincingly
lost to Mayweather, also lost to Miguel Cotto by TKO in Round 5

My favourite fighter is Floyd Mayweather from the start, and I think he fights Cotto Mayweathers handspeed would be fast, but first I was 100% sure Mayweather would easily beat him, now im about 70% sure...these accomplishments have taken my 30% off.. But im still sure Mayweather would win a decision or probably a late TKO against cotto.
Mayweather fought those guys first. Juuko? How long ago was that? And Mayweather fought them at a lighter weight, except Corley. And Cotto is a friggin natural middleweight who drains himself completely to make 140. Mayweather never drains himself to make weight, he's got more discipline. And a better chin.

You watched the Corley and Cotto's last fight and you're only 70% sure Mayweather would destroy him? Those fights made me that much more confident that Mayweather would murder Cotto.

Cotto just needs more discipline, he has difficulty with his weight because he drinks too much and likes to party too much. If you're going to be a boxer you have to dedicate 100% to it, I have seen him completely wasted a couple of times.

Aside from that he's left hook is terribly wide wich allows his opponent to counter with the RH. Yet he can rededicate himself and work on his flaws and beat Mayweather and Hatton as well as they can also beat him because when you have 2 good fighters anyone can win on any given night.

Whosoever sais that Cotto has a weak chin, you must think that Mayweather also has a weak chin. Mayweather was rocked by Demarcus Corley. Ricky Hatton is so overrated. He is just a pressure fighter that has fought alot of no names(except an old slower Kostya). A boxer who moves lateraly and fights from the outside will give ricky alot of trouble.

The fight between the two will be tough to call but it leans more toward Mayweather. He is faster and slicker. THe only thing that discounts that is the fact that Cotto hits like a Welterweight or junior middleweight. To to say that Mayweather can handle Cotto's barrage of punches would be a dare.

You are misleading the sheep here. Judah won the fight and the result was not at all controversial. Corley put up a weak ass fight. Judah won fair and square.

Also, styles make fights. Cotto KO's guys cuz he has more power than Floyd. That doesn't mean he will beat Floyd. Cotto could potentially beat Floyd if he was able to impose his will on him, but he's too much of a plodder and I feel strongly that Floyd would defeat him. Floyd would hit him cleanly and easily. Cotto could **** Floyd up if he can get inside and deal with the punches Mayweather will surely land.

People will be amazed at how silly Floyd would make Cotto look. Floyd/Bruseles all over again.

Ya he beat all those mentioned guys, but he showed he's flawed in the process--weak chin, gonna fall sooner or later.
