As for your 2nd attempt at downplaying things,

For the 3rd time now, the longevity he displayed in cleaning out the middleweight division, and the fashion in which he did it (he did not lose more than 4 rounds to any fighter 1995-2005), and you have your answer.

You talk about how "you don't care" that I continue to point out that you're WRONG when you say Hopkins resume isn't Hall of Fame Material.

Of course you don't care, it's not fun to have it pointed out that you're wrong and unwilling to accept it.

Hopkins WILL make the Hall of Fame, and I "don't care" if there's a tiny handfull of Brits who have their knickers in a knot because of it.

You don't dominate the Middleweight division for 10 years without being a great fighter.
Look, the reason I don't care about Hopkins making the hall of fame is because I know he will... But if he was "let's say" German or Welsh and he had exactly the same career accomplishments, would he make the "HOF"? Not bloodly likely.

There are far better fighters than him that have been active at the same time as him, and have acheived so much more, and have fought at such a higher level of competition that I think it's crazy to Call Hopkins one of the best of all time.

There are more holes and bad points you can pick out Bernards career than there are good ones. That's something thats worth considering.

(Please don't be one of these posters that just says Brit *** *** *** pwned pwned pwned - Nationality has nothing to do with it).

It's funny how "on paper" is a 10 year period where he rarely lost a round.

Talent wise? Have you seen Hopkins fight? He's a thow back to an old shoool fighter and used couter punching and ring savvy like few fighters at that time or since.

You don't dominate a division for 10 years by being a meidocire talent.
Don't start with the old "it's not a race it's a nationality" bull**** and making out that somehow makes it alright. And then making it even worse by drawing bull**** conclusions about "coincidences".

Bottom line is, Bozo, me and you were able to have a lively yet civil discussion last night, free of flames and cheap shots. This morning another guy from my home country dares to hold the same opinion as me and you start up with this crap.

Again, I ask you - if Jack was here saying he didn't like Hopkins, would you downgrade his opinion by using the N word? It's bull****, Bozo, it's cheap and it's tacky. Either you wanna have a little debate or you don't, but don't trash what I have to say because of where I live and where I was born. Not nice.

Have you noiticed how many of the "points" your making contain "if"?

IF Hopkins was from anywhere else in the world, and he fought who he did, again not avoiding anyone at middleweight, and did so in the fashion he did, again not losing more than 4 rounds to any fighter in a 10 year span, and broke the record for middleweight defenses, then NO, nothing would be different.

I'm not going to be suckered into biting into your "what if" senarios.

All we have to go on is what happened.

And what happenend was Bernard Hopkins domianted the middleweight division for 10 years, beating every available contender in a convincing fashion, breaking the all time record for middleweight defesnes in the process.

Consistency and longevity are the keys here.

We're talking about the Middlewight division here, which is where Hopkins choose to stay and dominate, just like Hagler and Monzon did before him.

Wouldn't you feel sorry for him, KB? After all, in my thrilling story, it's clear he can't help himself, he's just medically ill.

I really don't care what you think. I pointed out that the only two guys here that are in denial and arguing like it hurts their feelings to give Hopkins the credit he deserves are you two, who are Brits.

The only other person I've seen on this site with a similar disdane is that Eubank crazed felow, also British.

And again, I'm of British desent, so stop being over dramatic with the 'race' card. It's not a race, it's a nationality. That's a fact. If I was 'racist', I'd be discriminating agaisnt my own heritage.

you see, I reckon that's why he didn't get involved with Taylor until late on... he had stomach cramps and thought he was going to drop a load. There's a novel in there somewhere.

Anyway, download my Megamix and see what you think.
