LAFIRPRO - Hopkins was WILLING to fight bigger guys, unlike Martinez so he was NOT a hypocrite. And last I checked, Ray Leonard and Hearns did not start out at 130 and 115 like Mayweather and Pac did, only Duran was smaller. Martinez would NOT be getting blasted if not for the fact the he will NOT fight bigger guys. You are dismissed.

And one more thing LAFIRPRO - guess you didn't realize that there were VERY few good middleweights and no 168 pound fighters when Hagler and Monzon ruled, UNLIKE TODAY where there are a TON of name fighters at 168 that Martinez could fight.....a fact that has been lost on you.

martinez knows this, its the money that attracts him to challenge top WWs.

Notice B-Hop never calls out cruiserweights or heavyweights.
In defense of B-Hop (which I really don't want to do), De La Hoya called him out, not the other way around. Oscar wanted to pursue the middleweight championship like Leonard. Also, Trinidad-Hopkins was the final of the middleweight tournament by Don King.

And Hopkins has called out David Haye to fight him at cruiser or heavyweight. I used to love Bernard, but now I think he's just a total egomaniac. I still like him though.

Check yor facts, Leonard fought at 135. Duran fought at 135. And last time I checked, Hopkins never fought below 160!!. His fight profesional fight was even at light heavy weight. Martinez fought at 147 in his fight fight and would fight at that weight class for years. Go watch golf and educate yourslef before speaking. DISMISSED!!

Are you nuts??? Dzinziruk is a career jr. middleweight who fought Sergio at 160 for the first time!!!

Paul Williams was a career welterweight and jr. middleweight as well!!

You are mistaking height with size!

Not true at all. Hopkins was always calling out De La Hoya, before De La Hoya even entertained fighting Hopkins. For the same reason Sergio Martinez is calling out Manny and Floyd; Money. Hopkins knew the money was with De La Hoya and Trinidad, just like Sergio knows the money is with Manny and Floyd.
