Larry Holmes is definitly a ATG. I have him number 3 on my list of top 10 heavyweights. Larry actually said that when he got hit by Shavers, he saw a flash of white light and the next thing he knew, he was on the ground. When Shavers lands flush, not many people get up but Larry showed great heart.

The clip was slowed to show the shot better, so trying to base the count on it's timing is futile.

If you saw the fight, you'd know that suggesting he didn't beat the count is absurd.

I never said that Shavers didn't have a big punch, but I think Foremon & Tyson hit harder. Lewis knockout against Rahman is more impressive then the Shavers knockdown of Holmes.

that easily would be considered a knockout by shavers in today's boxing. Today's referees call off fights before the 10 count. I counted and i got to 10 and he was just staggering a bit. Today's refferees count fast too and they count right away after someone gets knock. You can clearly see that on that clip the ref didn't count quickly as soon as holmes got dropped.
