Larry was a tough old SOB... That Shavers punch was waaaay hard man... Also the first knockdown that Tyson gave him would've ended someone's life, but not Larry... he just got right back up again.

I cant belive Holmes got up from that. That was one of the most devastating blows I have ever seen landed. Amazing how Holmes came back from that so quickly. One of the things that makes Larry Holmes such a great fighter.

Only wish the clip had sound, because that shot cracked.

I would say....

It's the hardest punch I have seen a guy get up from & go on to win.

Larry's incredible heart-
His desire was fueled by claims that he was a "dog" after his '72 Olympic trial loss to Duane Bobick.

It's a shame the clip has been slowed down because if you try and pick up the count he gets up way after you count to 10.

Shavers hit very hard, but he's one of those guys that is overrated with his punch. Julian Jackson is also overrated by some when it comes to power.

nice clip, bozo. i heard about that shot, but ive never seen it. now i know how hard larrys chin was. but now i also know how much heart larry had: a lot.
