with a swelling eye, and no more use of headbutts, hed have to be careful leading with his head which is all he was doing to get inside and land a rabbit punch etc

yeah it was gonna be a fight, for maybe 3 or 4 more rounds and then the kid would have had to start deteriorating rapidly... round 3 was a boxing exhibition and round 4 especially at the end, mayweather was toying with the kid and doing anything he wanted... comfortable enough that he threw an uppercut that hed landed a whole bunch of times and didnt even expect the last flurry ortiz partially landed

and that 'partially' that he barely got to land at the END of the round, was probably what took him over the edge into leaping with that headbutt

no te engaņes ... el negro este tenia la cosa en el bolsillo
This is your opinon, you are entitled to it, regarding rabbit shots, listen if Floyd turns away as Ortiz is punching thats not illegal and Floyd does turn away like that on the inside.

Are you bringing up these fouls to use as weight in your arguement? I mean Holding and hitting is a foul isnt it? so is using the elbow on the inside, so is pushing off your opponent with your forearm.

Bottom line is, you can state what you think may have or may not have happend had the fight continued, that doesnt mean it would have gone down that way.

The truth is we will never know.

"and stuns pacquiao with a right hand at the bell"

"marquez scores against the ropes" but when pacquiao lands a viscious left hand he "throws a body shot and misses wildly with the left"

and he does this throughout the whole fight, same thing in the second aswell, giving his opinion "well, marquez definitely won that round"

Thread starter is a ******. He must not watch alot of fights or sports. Usually announcers get excited when megastars face adversity that what prize fighting is all about. Look at when fedor Got beat or he'll even federer in tennis. Its like an announcer going crazy after someone dunks on lebron its common in sports. N ow back to the fight u blind asses wont admit it but Ortiz was slowly gaining ground on fLOYD and landed. Some pretty decent shotS THATS something that surprised everybody since you goofs thought floyd was gonna hand out a gatti type beating. So people were shocked to see Ortiz land on floyd ......
Its. Fawking common to get excited for underdogs duhhhhhh

What's most annoying is when *****s. Yell it was a one sided fight look at the punch statsssss. ******ed monkeys all I see. ARE THE PUNCH STATS FROM THE FIRST CASTILLO FIGHT WHEN FLOYD GOT HIS ASS OWNEDDDD.

Look regarding Compubox for Ortiz vs Mayweather, watch the rebroadcast 24/7 episode 5 in which they show the fight ala contendor style.
inbetween rounds 3-4 the camera goes ringside where Merchant, and Lamps and Steward are sitting, you can see the compubox counter, stand up, look over at their unofficial score cards and begin to hit that compubox counter several times its clear as ****ing day in the vid.
So how are we to even take Compubox serious? at all serious?

STFU clown. The point of the thread is Lampley was doing it even when he wasnt landing. Floyd would land on Ortiz but Lampley would say that Ortiz landed on Floyd. Also, dont compare this to Fedor. Most everyone, even the media & fighters who hate Floyd had it a shutout & felt that Ortiz headbutt because he was frustrated. How the hell is that like Fedor getting KTFO? Also, come off that monkey stuff. Dont start calling names when you dont agree with people, e****ally that name in particular

Dude, go back and watch the fight again and count every punch landed by each fighter. Only count the punches landed and not the punches thrown. Floyd landed more punches than Ortiz in EVERY round, the third round having largest disparity. Don't count punches landed to the back of the head or to the belt line since those don't count. Only count punches clearly landed on the stomach, chest, and face. You will see Floyd outlanding Ortiz in every single round!

I would agree that some rounds were close. For example in the first round I had Ortiz landing 9 punches and floyd landing 14 and depending on how you score rounds the round could've gone either way. But as the fight went on the disparity in punches landed grew big time. In total I saw Mayweather land 73 punches (exactly what compubox had) to Ortiz landing 31 shots (slightly more than compubox stated). So yes Mayweather wasn't "dominating" per se but he was clearly winning!

How do I know thats the compubox guy? I have sat ringside for plenty of fights and thats exactly where they sit, right in the very middle next to the HBO commentators.

also the compubox counter in his hand as well, confirms this not sure how many fights you have been to ringside live but that is where the entire media section is on that side of the ring.
the judges and commission is on the other three sides of the ring.

I have watched this fight dozens of times, and still come to the same conclusion, I also think Floyd got credit for shots that actually hit gloves and there were also alot of those as well.
its not how many shots you land its what shots are effective, and I am sorry but if you throw just a contact shot, sure the shot lands but does it mean it counts as a clean effective scoring shot? No it doesnt.

Again I dont see the point in watching this again simply because I know what I saw in the fight and I am not going to change my opinion based on what the populous thinks it should be, I will not say what people want me to say if I dont beleive it to be the truth
