NAC 467.675 Acts constituting fouls in boxing. (NRS 467.030) The following acts constitute fouls in boxing:

    1. Hitting below the belt.

    2. Hitting an opponent who is down or is getting up after being down.

    3. Holding an opponent with one hand and hitting with the other.

    4. Holding or deliberately maintaining a clinch. 5. Wrestling or kicking.

    6. If the referee has signaled that the opponent has been knocked out, striking an opponent who is helpless as a result of previous blows and so supported by the ropes that he does not fall.

    7. Butting with the head or shoulder or using the knee.

    8. Hitting with the open glove, the butt of the hand, the wrist or the elbow, and all backhand blows.

    9. Purposely going down without being hit.

    10. Striking deliberately at that part of the body over the kidneys.

    11. Deliberately using the rabbit punch.

    12. Jabbing the opponent’s eyes with the thumb of the glove.

    13. Using abusive language in the ring.

    14. Engaging in any unsportsmanlike trick or action which causes injury to an opponent.
    15. Hitting on the break.

    16. Hitting after the bell has sounded the end of the period of unarmed combat.

    17. Hitting an opponent whose head is between and outside of the ropes.

    18. Pushing an opponent about the ring or into the ropes.

    [Athletic Comm’n, § 23, eff. 4-25-78]—(NAC A 12-13-82; 11-2-88; 12-2-97)
LOL notice how the rules say "hitting" with the elbow is against the rules. Never does it say sticking your elbow out is against the rules. Like I told you before, swinging the elbow counts as a foul NOT using it to maintain distance between you and your opponent. You still haven't made your point.

P.S. Ortiz could've have been disqualified because he too did many things that are on that list.

You can not use the elbow kid, Ortiz could have lost points for the head sure, and he did, but what else did he do other than that?

Floyd held and hit violating rule #3

Floyd held deliberately to maintain a clinch violating rule #4

use of the elbow, sorry but when you push it in someones face your fouling there goes violation of rule #8

Floyd did violate #14 . Engaging in any unsportsmanlike trick or action which causes injury to an opponent

And I honestly think Ortiz has a case with #14, cus he suckered him in and then nailed him.

you add these rules, with the unified rules referee code of conduct which Nevadas rules mirror those as they are federal, Oriz does have a case.

Cortez told Ortiz and Garcia in the dressing room that if he sticks the elbow out there to defend its NOT a foul. Now Cortez made a mistake for not having his eye on the action but I'm pretty sure he knows more about boxing than you do my friend.

And I don't think Mayweather tricked Ortiz because the fight was on after Cortez said "Let's go." Mayweather was not trying to hug Ortiz when he put his hands up he was ready to fight. That apology and having his hands down were all his fault. Just let it go man. The commission said it was a fair ruling after reviewing the tape. And the judges had Mayweather winning on the cards anyway.

He did have his hands up your right about that, but he also did come in nodding his head gave a partial hug and sucker punched him, he baited Ortiz in, dont try to sugar coat that truth.

And Cortez should know boxing more than I do, but if you trace back several fights of his, he should also be removed as an official and I recall as a youngster being pissed at what he allowed Bowe to get away with in fight one with Holyfield especially when he ruled a clear clean shot to the back of evanders head a knock down not to mention the dozens of Low Blows he allowed Bowe to get off...

Question I have for you, Do you think Boxing is NOT Corrupt in any way? cus as it stands thats how your comming off.
