martinez just said if he can't get a big fight he wants to collect all the belts and pirog is the only belt holder who wants to fight him so there ya go martinez.

might as well start with pirog.

consensus is that chavez jr has no chance against martinez at this point... there's no use for martinez to force that fight cause no matter how hard he pushes for it, it aint gonna happen.

all martinez has to do is keep winning impressively and he'll get his payday soon enough

so martinez is scared of a guy who didn't look that good against a bum? damn now that is fear.

why don't you look at when barker got knocked down by paul samuels, why don't you look at when barker barely if at all beat algoussen, why don't you look at barker fade down the stretch against spada? barker gets a shot for those very reasons that i just stated. pirog doesn't because he's too dangerous.

He beat Rubio 8 years ago. Completely irrelevant. Jantuah was obviously on the way down when Pirog beat him, while Rubio has been going up.

i wouldn't say it's completely irrelevant. floyd hasn't beaten a real elite fighter in his weight class in over 8 years and people still think he's hot sh-it.

Pirog is an incredibly confident fighter who will go into the ring absolutely convinced he can beat Martinez, & whether he has the experience to pull it off or not, only Golovkin probably has a better chance, & he's likely to wait atleast another year.

As for a matchup, two unorthodox, exciting fighters, both utterly confident in their ability to win - hell yes.
Get Pirog over to the US again if the promoters think he needs more exposure, but this is the best fight available in the next year or so for Martinez...

if Pirog can't beat a bum like Steroidgio it's time to hang em up.
