Sergio's Hand's Down By His Side vs Floyd?

You just posted an article that stated Mayweather wouldn't fight Margarito unless he had 8 million. My point is (and the question that you have yet to answer), why did he settle for less when he fought Zab? If Margarito is as easy as he and other people claim he would have been, why didn't he accept just as much or at least a million more (which is what arum was putting up)?

I don't see anything wrong with Ali's finances even today, hes fine. To me its called being spoiled, greedy and caring more about money/riches than about legacy and fans. When asked why he didn't fight Margarito in an old interview, Mayweather stated "its not about the fans, its about making smart business decisions". If Ali had the mentality of Mayweather, he probably wouldn't be the legend that he is. The man fought in an era where ducking was not an option, and he made his name by calling and beating the best fighters that he heavyweight division had to offer, and IN the greatest heavyweight era ever. To me, they were smarter back in THOSE days. Floyd is a great fighter, but he would never come close to being held on the pedestal that Ali is.Comment

Exactly, I couldn't have said it better myself but people will fail to realize this and think if he constantly gets hit in the face he wont put his hands up.That's the one thing that Martinez and Joe (Calzaghe) did that mislead the fans (or the ones betting against them). They only do it when their confident and they have their opponent figured out to the point where they feel that they can do anything. Just like Martinez did when he finally got into his rhythm against Cintron, Williams and Pavlik. And just like Joe did when he was hitting Kessler and Lacy at will. Its part comfort and part physiologic. If you think that Martinez will come in against Floyd and immediately have his hands by his waist (or fight like that for most of the fight), you'll be disappointed.Comment

Dude is gonna put on a show against Floyd if he fights him. Let Floyd try that sucker punch **** on Sergio, lmao.....Floyd would get stomped out. Straight right might work once or twice but when Sergio adapts and sets Floyd up with a lead left down the pike and smash's Floyd's face harder than he has ever been hit in his career, we'll see Floyd in his corner "Mutha****a cheatin, this ref better do what he is paid to do"Comment

floyd will outbox him. sergio makes alot of mistakes hes good and im a big fan hes exciting and fight hard fast and strong. but he makes alot of mistakes. floyd key is his adaptability and him exploiting fighters mistakes. floyd is the superior boxer better stamina and faster. floyd will win and outbox sergio. I dont think it will be easy but i think floyd will win hands downComment

Sergio fought the dude in '98, it was Sergio's 3rd bout as a pro and the guy had a 3-6 record. No response? That's because Martinez has never had a draw with a 7-34 fighter, and where you found that at is beyond me. And Castillo had lost 4 ( 3 by KO) fights when he went in against Floyd, yet that doesn't stop the majority of people from thinking it was a highway robbery.Comment
