roach has said it so many times, how special floyd is and how he needs pac to see what he sees. most trainers say floyd will easily outbox pac. and after the shane fight writters wrote how wide pacs punches were and how off balanced he was when throwing. making him perfect for the most accurate counter puncher in the game today.

Look, I know YOU do, but most people (fans) don't understand how the media works.

The media wants credentials to go cover the fights. That is their sine qua non. Without media credentials, you are kinda dead in the water. So, guys kiss Arum's butt so they can get a nice five day holiday in Vegas covering the fight and chowing down at the Top Rank media buffets (yes, Dan....I'm looking at YOU).

People often wonder why the media didn't ask a tough - or follow up - question. Arum says "no issues" on drug testing. Nobody is gonna challenge that because they will be sitting at home during the next big fight. So, that is why many reporters appear to "favor" one camp or the other. They get access. The access is the thing.

Floyd has been WAAAAY less of an ****** than he COULD be with certain guys. Yeah. PBF roasted Elie Seckbach a bit. Elie makes a nice living by anally probing Manny's tush with his tongue. Floyd knows that. So Floyd could have excluded Seckback from the U-Stream workout. Then Seckback couldn't have posted those dozen videos he put up on his channel.

Now, with Bert Sugar specifically... a guy who doesn't really have a job (unless I'm mistaken). He is kind of a "reporter/historian emeritus". He gets by on the good graces of promoters. They throw him a ticket, and even a hotel room. It's a nice-to-have that Sugar was at your event, giving interviews beforehand, and selling what an "intriguing matchup" it is.

Want an example that Bert Sugar is for sale? Here:

        ADDITIONALLY,

Pacquiao's fans are more , um, energetic and vocal than Floyd's fans. I'm being nice, and I need you guys to recognize that . Websites rely upon traffic to make money. They know that Manny has a rabid fanbase. Say nice things about Manny, his fans visit in droves, you make money. Thus, the Examiner. Which is NOT a newspaper, but a glorified blog. Marley and Rockwell and D-Source get paid by the click. That incentive pay is the antithesis of objectivity.

Fans pay too much attention to what certain guys who are on the periphery of the boxing world say. For example, I like Michael Wilbon. Generally speaking. I DVR "PTI" every day and watch when I get home. Wilbon obviously has strong views about Mayweather. But Mike is not a boxing guy. He doesn't even know anyone outside of Mayweather, Pacquiao and Delahoya. So, Pac fans, try not to hang on his every word. OK?

nonsense. floyd doesn't even believe he can beat pac. he's on record saying pac is too good to be real. you have to have balls before you can beat your opponent. otherwise, the logic is out of whack. it's out of sync. it doesn't jibe with conventional wisdom. boxing experts can say floyd beats pac all they want but if floyd himself doesn't think so how can that even make sense?

Apparently yes, since there are 30 threads a day with this same back and forth. SMH, this site is doomed

That's a very silly thing to say, your last sentence has no meaning.

The guy has had more than 50 fights. Did he change the way he normally fights especially for Mosley?? A guy used to fighting ainly one way can only change his style minimally if he wants to keep it up the whole fight, including Plans A,B and C .

That's not quite true. A couple of weeks ago the betting, if they ever fought, was 6-5 for Mayweather, virtually an even match. Of course things can change over time, but not as drastically as you say.
