some fighters do fight with dislocated shoulders etc..as some1 mentioned Danny Williams. Well at least he can impress the audience by that. Vitali is smart man, he knew he has long career to go and big $ ahead, why risk? I would quit as well. did he quit against Lewis? - no.

anyways, this is pointless thread, just like as posters on 1st 3 pages

Because Byrd is such a devastating puncher!

Keep thinking that Chris Byrd, keep thinking you punch harder and more accurate then Lennox Lewis.

That lhw who beat byrd went on to do nothing except get dominated by chris henry.

He had his number by backing up into the ropes getting outworked for 95% of the fight. It's ONLY when Vitali became defenseless that Byrd was backing him up... You think if Vitali's shoulder wasn't in extreme pain... this most feather of fisted fighter would've even DARED back him up... He gained CONFIDENCE when he realized there was something wrong with Vitali & that he wasn't going to be hit coming forward.... Byrd can twist this any way he wants.... but dude WOULD never ask for a second helping o f a 100% fully functional Vitali KLitschko PRESSURING him for the full 12. He fought nearly 30 rds with A Klitschko & ONLY won one ****ing rd & that was when one of the brothers was defenseless... that's ALL you need to know about his credibility & why he'll NEVER get credit for that fake W.... the END!!!!!!!!!!

tHANK You..... Vitali WOULD RATHER be caught quitting or DEAD than to have Chris Byrd get credit for a legit TKO because his shoulder was rendered useless..... perhaps Chris should've put a stipulation in his contract that if Vitali's shoulder gives out... it then becomes an even fight & that he'd be the betting favorite... Lennox should've had this same contract written out & that if Vitali is missing an eye is WHEN it becomes a fair fight & a 50/50 pick-em odds.

Dude was cowering on the ropes for much of the night deftly afraid to give Vitali any openings... for fear he would've IKED his a$$$ BACK to Michigan.. a few pitty pat featherfisters backing up a Vitali Klitschko who is nearly unconscious with pain & he wants to act all tough & get credit for the W Because Vitali just said... "HERE CHRIS... take my belt... it'll be back in the family the NEXT time you fight.... let me get my rest & shoulder healed up so I CAN THEN fully TERRORize the heavyweight division like it's NEVER BEEN DONE before".

Let's put this on the record... Chris Byrd's title victory was more Fugazy than Floyd's title victory last week.... in other words.... it was even more shameful & the fact that he celebrated with tears as if he'd done something remarkable speaks alot about his credibility as a featherfisted champion for the ages... HIS ONLY CLAIM TO FAME IS THAT HE WAS THE FIRST FIGHTER NOT TO GET KTFO BY THE GREAT VITALI KLITSCHKO & THAT WAS ONLY BECAUSE VITALI WAS FIGHTING WITH ONE ARM TIED BEHIND HIS BACK FOR HALF OF THERE BOUT!

                  END OF DISCUSSION

CUT & PASTE OF THIS POST IS FORTHCOMING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Vitali lost due to a seriuos injury - Byrd didn't win

It's too bad that a nice guy, a great sportsman, and a Christian that he is can still claim to this day that he won that fight. To claim that if Vitali wasn't injured, he would have won the fight and "that everyone knew it". I think this very small HW got hit with a few too many heavy hands.
