He totally missed Floyds fouls against hatton and was too harsh on hatton, not letting hatton fight his fight. Hatton is a pressure fighter and he didnt let hatton fight his type of fight against FLoyds type of fight. He would have been bad in the Duran vs SRL fight because he would be all over Duran i bet.

Yes he was bad in that fight. Could have been a better fight historically if he allowed a pure boxer and a pressure fighter get it on. Cortez wanted 2 pure boxers in there, and didnt let hatton do his thing.

Watch Holyfield vs Bowe fight 1

from rounds 1-10 Evanders balls took massive abuse from Bowe and he did nothing
in round 11 he allowed Bowe to hit Holyfield clearly in the back of Evanders head, and ruled that **** a knock down.

Take a look at Holyfield vs Ruiz 2, Holyfield drops Ruiz with a body shot and Cortez then rules it low, Allows Ruiz Time, but then Ruiz comes back and intentionally hits Evander Low and he doesnt do ****..

Take a look at this clip, at 1:57 Holyfield lands a body shot, ruled low, Cortez calls time gives Ruiz 5 mins to recover, takes a point from Evander.

Notice the protocal Cortez used at the 4:58 mark of the video, he secured a safe distance between the fighters called time in and commanded them to box, something he did not do for the Ortiz Mayweather fight.
Then Ruiz comes out rushes Holyfield hits him low intentionall and Cortez does NOTHING...... and you guys are sitting here saying that Ortiz doesnt have a case here? Get the **** out of here Cortez is the reason Floyd has a W and not a DQ or an NC

I looked at the video. Holyfield did hit Ruiz with a low blow and Cortez took a point away. Ruiz then hit Holyfield low and didn't take a point away.

Cortez was wrong for not calling the low blow against Ruiz also, but he was right for calling the low blow against Holyfield.

go figure both are puerto rican, check out Holyfield bowe fight 1, count the low blows pay attention to the knock down in round 11 along the way its a great fight anyways but still things could have been different had the KD been ruled an illegal shot, or points been taken for the low shots.
            Cortez is garbage
