That was more what he said to start the fight and it became a catchphrase.

Really? You need to ask? With his ****** catchphrase, he always wants to be the center of attention. One of the worst ref in recent history, don't know how the mother****er keeps getting fights.

Maybe he was a good ref decades ago but he's clearly abusing the rep he's built up to influence fights.
          This ^^^^, he ruined Maidana/Khan and Calzaghe/Hopkins.

1 reason he needs to stay away from the big fights is simple: AGE.

It's something that happens to all of us, we slow down, we are no as sharp and on the ball as someone in their 20's and 30's. It's nature.

I think anyone over 60 has no business being a referee/ umpire / Judge. It's that simple for me, it really is.

Molinares threw the knockout punch clearly after the bell, but Cortez still counted Starling out, the fight was over ruled afterwards and declared a NC.

Example of Cortez not paying attention.

Too many times when there's a knock down or knock out, Cortez has no idea what happened - and in that case he looks to the timekeeper to see IF he's counting and just goes with it. The thing is though, it's not the timekeepers job to determine whether the k.d. is legit, only to begin counting ALL K.D.s so the ref knows the real count after sending the opponent to the neutral corner. Even in this video, you can hear the commentators say "Cortez looked to the timekeeper and then began counting him out". You can argue that Joe already knew what his call was going to be, but in most of Cortez's cases and where he clearly looks lost - he's looking to the TK for answers (as if they wouldn't be counting if the k.d. wasn't legit). Maybe it's just because Cortez always looks so "WTF just happened???" when he's looking to the TK, but IMO he's looking to the TK for answers rather then pick up the count. I mean, how can you call a legit KD/KO when you didn't even see what the **** happened in the first place?

Too many refs doing that these days IMO. And Cortez doing it more and more in controversial situations. It was obvious that Cortez had NO idea what happened in the Mayweather/Ortiz fight until he saw the replay. He allegedly tells the fighters 'lets go', but then ISN'T even ****in paying attention??? INCOMPETENCE at it's finest.

Even then the Time Keeper said that it was thrown after the bell but he still kept on going ?, he didn't have a clue of what to do.

Why is this man in the HOF :/.

That 75 year old pilot shouldn't have been flying at an air show. As you said your reflexes get slower with age, and he could have had a heart attack for all we known. Why is a 75 year old allowed to fly around at an air show?
