He didn't specifically said that he would've encouraged JMM to fought more aggressively against Floyd, he did said JMM has the aggression, ring intellect, and skills to KO'ed Floyd.

A promoter job is to promote his fighter and the fight itself, it's not his/her job to give out fighting strategies and game plans. Unless of course you're talking about promoters that would force their fighters to takes dives.
