They made Marquez the "aggressor" against another counter puncher. The fight would have been "boring" with two counter punchers circling each other for 12 rounds.

You can read these two article from Boxingscene as well:

How come you don't credit Chris John for his domination of JMM????

I give him some credit but not a lot. Even though he had a lot of advantages, JMM is still a great fighter and it is hard to beat him in that fashion. Some credit, but not a ton. Floyd doesn't need a ton of credit though because he has beat some really good fighter and done it in impressive fashion.

What are you talking about? Great fighters usually don't go on the road. Anyone can move to Vegas, Floyd did it and so can anyone else. Majority of the big fights happen in America, its been like that for a long time. When did Oscar fight outside of America? When was the last time Manny Pacquaio fought outside of America? How about Sergio Martinez, Nontio Donaire, Marquez, Cotto, the list goes on? The big fights are in Vegas, hence the huge gates that happen there. You can't fault Floyd for fighting in Vegas.

                    not really, no.
marquez had to jump up two or three division to fight Mayweather and on top of that, Mayweather didn't even bother trying to make the catch weight.

so the size difference was more than a 3 division difference.

                    tis a lot.
