Just watched the full Floyd/Ortiz fight for the 1st time

After watching the fight countless times, I think there's no denying that Mayweather had total control of that fight.
round 1 - A feeling out round of course, but I think Floyd established early what he was trying to do. Jab to find his range and hit him with lead right hands. Floyd round
round 2 - This is one was a bit close, I think Floyd once again landed his shots more and was tagging Ortiz, but Ortiz wasn't being outclassed and hitting with his own shots head and body and being the aggressor. Floyd round (could been given to Ortiz on pure aggression, but if you know you're boxing you have to give it to Floyd)
round 3 - Floyd was in total control, the easiest round to score
round 4 - Should it really matter who won this round since the fight ended in KO? I don't get why people are so hell bent on discussing this round but anyhow. Floyd was landing more shots throughout the round and even started the round with a big combo. Ortiz had two good flurries (which didn't land much but still looked impressive) but in between them Floyd was still landing that right hand. I will say this though, Ortiz was looking like he was really trying in this round and I was very interested to see a 5th (although it most likely would have ended up in a TKO victory for Floyd down the strech). Now if I had to give Ortiz a round it would have been this one but still, Floyd was winning the round - Ortiz loses a point - Floyd wins by KO.
It's pretty sad that people have to break down a 4 round fight to try to discredit Floyd Mayweather after winning by KO.Last edited by _original_; 09-25-2011, 01:18 AM.Comment

LOL really? OK...You and I both know that ain't true...But, if it makes your little ass feel like an e warrior than by all means...Go for it.Like seriously, didn't you green k'd me the last time I owned you after you said Winky priced himself out of a Taylor rematch by asking for a bigger share than 50% and I told you to shut the **** up and stop making up fake history? and Got a link where it showed Winky wanted 50%, and Taylor/DiBella wanted the lion's share, so Winky said no.
And all along, you were making up fake ass history like you always do. And your little band of **** suckers actually thinking you know what you're talking about. Just cause you're in the boxing history section 24/7.
Go ahead, just green k your idol, -Kev-, which you always try to bait in to a debate when ever possible. Even though you dismiss me of "not knowing about boxing". But any chance you get to give me props, you jump at it. You wanna be friends with me you fucking faggot, just say it, lol.
Lol the little pussy giving out green k, getting down on his knees, "you are right kev". Miguel Cotto Rosales

Head Snapping Back? can I get some still pics or a Animated gif with Mayweather "HEAD SNAPPING BACK:
don't get me wrong, Ortiz did get in a few shots, nobody ever said he didn't land "ANYTHING", he landed a few times, but for the most part he was missing...A LOTComment

yeah me and my homies were like wtf is lampley talkin boutwatched the fight against TWICE TODAY!
once on HBOwest and HBOeast...how the *** did Ledderman give Ortiz round 2? WTF? hahaha
also some things I noticed is how HBO broadcasting team was contradicting themselves, plus they was trying their best to pump up everything Ortiz was doing when many of those shots wasn't landing, nothing was landing during those Flurries, it was punches that Backed Mayweather up initially that was landing, but for the most part Ortiz was hitting Arms, Gloves and Shoulders and the STATS SHOWED AND PROVED JUST THAT!
they can setup a rematch Ortiz...BUT FOR WHAT, that dude was in over his head and out of his league and it showed RIGHT AWAY in that match
but it was a lot of beautiful women in the audience though including Mayweather's women, it was hard to focus on the match lolComment

^That is exactly what they are doing and yes that is PATHETIC, you hate a guy so much that your trying to convince yourself that you didn't see what you know you seen, but because you hate the guy your going to pretend like you didn't see certain things lolAfter watching the fight countless times, I think there's no denying that Mayweather had total control of that fight.

Floyd wasn't losing the fourth round. I am sure that you didn't notice, but Ortiz was on the verge of being knocked down in that fourth round about half way through the round. The only reason he didn't go down was because he held on to Floyd until he regained his balance. Those punches Ortiz was throwing when he landed the headbutt were not landing and were not effective. He landed two punches (not including the headbutt) in that entire flurry. That is about all he landed in the entire sequence. That does not qualify as "winning the round."Comment

okay sure, people disagree either way. Some have him winning more rounds some less. Even judges who are ringside and have been judging decades disagree sometimes.
bringing race into it... pretty classy specially after I'm a pretty clear Mayweather fan and even had several bets on him winning.Originally posted by -Kev-don't be an idiot Mexican
but no you're right my Mexicaness obviously impaired my judgement...
thats why I gave him an extra round which other people gave him aswell
I called myself an experienced fan... why? well because I've watched countless Mayweather fights over the years. I never claimed to be a boxing historian, judge or anything really.Originally posted by -Kev-And you are not experienced, stop lying. It is annoying now.
furthermore I don't think I could possibly give a shit less if I annoy you or any other Mayweather **** rider.Comment
