Stating compubox stats is a very weak ass argument. Noobs use compubox stats because they have no idea of what they're talking about.
You could of had Ortiz winning round 2. It's not out of the question that round could have gone to Ortiz. Why is everyone getting so butthurt because someone scored that round for Ortiz is beyond me. I scored that round for Floyd. But, giving that round to Ortiz is not outrageous.
If you go by round by round scoring. Then yes one can say the fight was close. But, if you saw the fight as a whole, the momentum, the work that was getting put on, how the fight was headed. Floyd was in total control.
Granted 4 rounds is not enough to know what would have happen. In the first 4 rounds, Cotto was dominating Margarito, Judah was beating Floyd, Acosta was dominating Rios. This is true by all means. However, there has only been one fighter that has been just as strong if not stronger than Floyd in the 2nd half of the fight. I personally serious doubt that Ortiz would have been just as strong as Floyd in the 2nd half. But, we don't know how it would have went. But, the writing was in the wall IMO. Ortiz was already getting frustrated, he's too weak minded to have gotten stronger in the 2nd half. Hence intentional headbutt and he tried another intentional headbutt earlier in the fight as well....He was already falling apart. And, IMO Floyd would have either stopped him late or just beat him decision and be dominant in the 2nd half.
Either way the point is moot. The KO was legit, Ortiz sucks, Floyd proves once again that it's him and Pac and then everyone else by miles.Comment

i actually had Ortiz winning round 2. Iv'e only watched the fight twice, so i could be wrong, but Floyd was def winning round four.Comment

I never once denied Floyd was winning the fight or was even in control.
I actually had predicted Floyd via 7th-8th round TKO stoppage and it was leaning that ways.
However, even prior to watching a replay or the fight in slow-mo, I thought those compubox stats were absurb and extremely biased. I saw Ortiz land a lot more than given credit and Floyd miss a lot more than give credit.
If someone feels Floyd dominated....cool, but personally I didn't feel Ortiz was dominated at all. Losing...yes, but not dominated like most like to claim.Last edited by Khalid X; 09-25-2011, 12:14 AM.Comment

LOL at people using compubox to make an argument it's just some dude pushing buttons it gives a glimpse as too what's happening but no where near totally accurateComment

If you can't see that Floyd landed at will, you are blind or have too much Pac cum in your eyes.
So for these wanna be historians, what a fighter makes doesn't matter, unofficial fight night weights don't matter, compubox numbers don't matter.
Like seriously, Jro, stop being so pussy. Say my name. It's only the internet. You can say who your post is directed to.You're always with your little pussy indirect. You are a wanna be historian, stop acting like something you are not. You try too hard.
Compubox numbers matter, because they are at least an estimate of a fighter's accuracy, which is a stat that is very well worth of knowing.
It's like saying how many balls and strikes a pitcher throws, does not matter.Comment

"Say my name jro, please say my name" STFU....
And, LOL @ the baseball analogy...Stick to what you know....Some one pressing a button like a video game does not matter. It doesn't really reflect anything either.
What makes me a "wannabe historian"? Go...Comment
