How many Fighters of the DECADE do you have in the history of boxing?

So definitely Pacquiao unless Floyd wins one too.

"Fighter of the Decade" is a popularity contest.

Will people please stop using that as reasoning to why Pac is greater.

Believe it or not, there are people out there who think Mayweather was the fighter of the decade..

I personally think the fighter of the decade for the 1960's is Emile Griffith.

Some people think it's Muhammad Ali.

Some other people think it's Carlos Ortiz.

Some other people think it's **** Tiger.

It's solely an opinion and mainly a popularity contest.

I would have to disagree on this. If Floyd beats Pac, Floyd has a case for being compared to Pac without being laughed at. Floyd would have to do something people think Pac might not be able to do, like beat Sergio at 154 perhaps. But knowing Pac, he will then fight Sergio and then destroy him better than Floyd did.

Pacs just beat better fighters, Morales, barrera etc not to mention destroyed fighters Floyd fought. Pac would have destroyed the hatton Floyd fought, so for Floyd to beg borrow and steal credit on a tecnicality isnt convincing anyone. Pac also beat fighters Floyd should have tried to beat in Cotto and Margarito and just been busier all round.

Floyd. Better all around fighter. Pacquiaos resume has names, but a few of those names were past it.

            Ok. That's fine.

It doesn't matter how much you don't want to hear it but the fact of the matter is if Floyd Mayweather beats Manny Pacquaio the majority of people will consider him the greater fighter.

Floyd will get more credit for beating an undefeated ricky hatton whereas manny wont because the claim will be that he was over the hill.
              .
with Ricky MAnny fought him at his best weight.

              FLoyd had him move up.

Floyd will have beaten the boxer people considered best fighter of his generation, but Pac would still have the better resume.

IMO that's the only way, outside of beating Martinez, that Floyd can be considered greater than Pacquiao. It's not a wipeout right now, but I think it's clearly Pacquiao in this argument.

Forgot about that so thats up for grabs more or less. I say its close with manny winning at the moment but that can always change.

I think Manny could lose to Floyd and still be ranked higher.
