I see this as a simple boxingscene number game where pac wins easily for the simple reason that many are disappointed with floyd's recent win. People will have better perspective 10 years down the road.
Manny is the first eight-division world champion; having won ten world titles, and the first to win the lineal championship in four different weight classes. He was named "Fighter of the Decade" for the 2000s by the Boxing Writers Association of America (BWAA). He is also a three-time The Ring and BWAA "Fighter of the Year", winning the award in 2006, 2008, and 2009.
Pacquiaos fight's against Barrera 2x, Morales 3x and Marquez 3x by itself puts Pac over Floyd.
Not to mention the only 8 division world title champion ever.
Fighter of the decade.
Multiple Fighters of the years.
BHop, both Klitchkos, Froch, Marquez, Morales, Mosley, Cotto, Pongsaklek Wonjongkam are all current active fighters that rank above floyd when it comes to Legacy
It will be close. The problem is the background that surround some of their wins.
Floyd will get more credit for beating an undefeated ricky hatton whereas manny wont because the claim will be that he was over the hill.
Floyd will get a mosley coming off a win but still over the hill. Manny with get a shot to **** mosley. Same with De la Hoya.
With Magarito it depends on his next fight. If cotto trashes Magarito that will take away from Manny's win simply because it will state he was a shadow after his the plaster was taken off but it will give him more credit for the cotto win.
Manny will win in Barrera and Morales vs Corrales and Castillo.
Floyds has better journeyman under his belt than manny though but thats like saying whose **** smells the least.
The eight division champ will help manny but the details surrounding the championship wont help. Everyone seems to be a 4 ,5 division champion these days. The 0 will help floyd but not as much as he expects.
Its close but it will also reflect the opportunistic way they are choosing their fights.
