Please stop whining about size difference. Floyd fought Oscar at 154, Oscar and Sergio are roughly the same height (5'10" or so), and Oscar had been fighting at 160.

The fight would probably go down with a weirder ending than the Ortiz fight. Ellerbe's jealous rage over Floyds constant "holding" of Martiniez would be too much for him, as he reached the apron Roger would attempt to stop him, and Floyd would get DQ'd.

If Floyd has any dream of solidifying his legacy without Pac,
this is the fight for him. This is an evenly-matched fight. And
height advantage will play very little role in it. I'd predict a
a UD/SD outcome. And the thing about his fight for Floyd is
that props would be given right away just for fighting Martinez
      win or lose.

Floyd decisions him in a very competitive fight.

Floyd's arms are longer at 26".

Floyd has fought a lot of smaller opponents such as Marquez. Pacquiao has no problem fighting bigger men like Margarito.
Ummm wow. Floyd comes into the Ortiz fight at 150, you sir need to do some homework. Martinez weighed 175 just 3 weeks before the second fight with Williams. If Floyd and Martinez ever fought martinez would be atleast 20lbs heavier on fight night.

I always loved this match-up if it ever came to fruition.

Martinez at 154 is just as dangerous as 160...so this fight I think Martinez would give Mayweather a great deal of trouble. His movement, southpaw stance, feints would be a factor, Mayweather would have to become the aggressor in my opinion.

I did a review of this a while back...

Floyd with little difficulty. He knows it so i think this fight will happen and once again will make manny look like a cherry picker.

Let's not forget, Floyd couldn't make the catchweight of 145 when he fought JMM.

He was about 160 for that fight, he seemed HUGE compared to JMM.

Floyd by decision. I think he will find a way to outpoint Sergio with his ring IQ and experience.

I think this in the only real dangerous fight for Floyd though.

I actually think this is why Sergio was so adamant about getting this fight.
It is hard to judge Floyd based on the Ortiz fight as he had very little respect for Ortiz and it showed in the way he behaved in the ring, leading with a right uppercut. He didn't fear his ability or power.

That being said I would favor Sergio. His boxing ability isn't shabby so he should be able to rough Floyd up and do well enough to ensure he doesn't score points in the technical aspect of the fight.

Mayweather vs Martinez @154 is the best fight available in professional boxing currently..
Much better than May vs Pac imo.
Sergio is the only fighter who could beat Floyd, but i dont think he would win by KO, maybe a very close SD.
