Gatti was never overrated by the masses. There are always those on the fringe who might overrate someone but that is not enough to say that a fighter is overrated in general.

Gatti was what he was. He was a decent boxer with good power and a decent chin who was able to do some pretty remarkable things with his toughness.

Gatti is a legend like Ward because of their fights, and Gatti moreso because of his many historic victories, which are historic for the WAY he won them. Gatti is one of the few who has achieved a lofty status despite fighting with more ******ity than skills.

I couldnt have said it beta, exactly my thoughts about gatti

      * his chin is more than decent *

gatti was good, but he discovered his boxing ability too late for him to really prosper in his career.

gatti may not be the most skilled fighter, but hes helluva exciting to watch.

IMO Gatti was and is a good fighter overall. He was a fighter who had good handspeed, good power, put punches together well to the body as well as the head, and wasn't afraid to get hit. Cotto has those same qualities, and inspite of being rocked by every decent punch that hits him, some consider him the future of the 140 lb. division. I think Gatti is a fighter who may never have had great skills, but his toughness and determination more or less rounded him out. I remember saying that for him to have any chance at all against Floyd, he would have to make it a rough fight for Floyd. Instead, he goes into the ring believing that he can outbox Floyd, and ends up standing in the middle of the ring taking shots just like Diego did. I'm not saying he would have won, but at least it would have been a fight. I don't think that Gatti is a great fighter or anything, but a fighter doesn't have to be either great or ****, he can still be good, I think some get a little carried away with the bum word.

Oscar, Zab, Shane, Margarito, Tszyu, Hatton, Cotto you name them.

              He will beat them all.
dude, then explain why he moved up weight so quick after beating Gatti??? Why wouldn't he stick around, Unify if he is so great. I didn't see him jump on signing a fight with Hatton. Also, he talked so ****** **** about fighting Winky...right, everyone knows how that would go. That is why it was shut down so quick. Mayweather isn't ******, he is smart. That is why he takes fights that sound good, but aren't dangerous. Castillo...go back and watch that fight, without biased eyes. Manfedy, please...don't even use him. The fact that you consider him a good win for Mayweather is pretty pathetic. I am not saying PBF isn't a good fighter. **** he COULD be a great, if he fights GREATS!!!

How can he unify if Warren is unwilling to put Hatton up against him?

I didn't see him jump on signing a fight with Hatton.
You obviously have not been reading up about the Warren situation.

You nor I have an idea how that fight would go. Mayweather would be the most skilled fighter Winky ever faced.

That is why it was shut down so quick.
When was that even a possibility?

That is why he takes fights that sound good, but aren't dangerous. Castillo...go back and watch that fight, without biased eyes.
First off....what the hell are you talking about? I scored the first fight in favor of Castillo, and you could not hand pick a more difficult opponent for him to face. How can you say he has not faced great fighters.....when he faces the best out there.

Who are the great fighters you are talking about?

                Manfedy, please...don't even use him.
He holds a win over your beloved Gatti.

                Better than Gatti.

May vs Winky is kinda ridiculous IMO. WInky would BE TOO BIG fo Floyd. I mean 160lbs was Winky's last fight. Come ta **** on. Floyd is extremely good, but anyone who thinks Floyd will beat Winky soundly is insane or jest don't get laid enough. That's 20lbs Floyd woulda climbed and I can only imagine how much of his speed, power and ability to take a punch will be gone if he took ta fight.

                  IT WAS ALL TALK IMO.

Dude, Winky don't have a big punch to trouble Mayweather. Noway Mayweather lose to a guy that fights with one hand, I don't care what weight it is. Many people are overrating Winky, he beat an washed up Mosley that lost twice to Forest & a slugger in Tito. We all know Tito can be outbox by many. This fight will take place at 154 not at 160. Mayweather wins this fight easily, it won't even be close.
