Floyd to fight 3-4 times and retire!!!

I agree. Also, to another poster, I don't remember Schaefer guaranteeing anything about Floyd fighting regularly after the Marquez fight or guaranteeing Mayweather-Pacquiao. Maybe I am mistaken but I don't think so.I hope this is true. I've seen too many fighters become addicted to the glitz and glamour and can't give boxing up. Hopefully Floyd invests his money right, so he can indeed walk away.
Comparing Floyd's speech in the beginning of his career until now, I've noticed a noticable change in his speech. He stutters and speaks a lot slowly now then before.
Regarding Floyd's next 3-4 opponents, at this moment, I wouldn't mind seeing:
1. Pac
2. Khan
3. Martinez
4. Cotto
I would like all of those fights, except for Cotto. Cotto hasn't been considered "Prime" or "Latter-prime" since his loss to Margarito and 2008, and has never really been the same fighter at all. He's still good but he's past his prime. Floyd UD's Cotto easily. Although, would you think it's more impressive if Floyd beat Cotto at 154 for his Super WW title than when Manny beat him at a Catchweight for his WW title??? I just don't see it happening because Floyd makes a point that Manny has fought a few of his left overs (De La Hoya 1 1/2 years later, Hatton 2 years later, Mosley 1 year later, Marquez at 144 2 years later) and I can't see him fighting a Pacquiao and Margarito left over who hasn't been too great since 08'. If Cotto were to win a huge fight, like against Sergio Martinez or Saul Alvarez...then maybe, but I'd still doubt it.
Also, contrary to what people are saying about Pacquiao fighting Martinez 150....I just can't see it happening and would HATE to see it. I don't wan tot see Sergio weight drain himself anywhere below 154 AT ALL. It would be a HUGE disadvantage for Sergio to go down 150 from 160, while Pacquiao goes to 150 from 147. Also, notice how people have questioned Manny about Sergio agreeing to 150 and he hasn't had ANY response. Dibella even said a fight with Floyd at 154 is a much more realistic possibility than with Pacquiao. Maybe if Sergio gets knocked down or struggles to beat Darren Barker (which won't happen of course), than maybe Pacquiao will fight him. I know its sad, but if Mayweather-Pacquiao doesn't happen early next year, I can see Pacquiao fighting the Cotto-Margarito 2 winner (Arum already mentioned a rematch with Cotto as a possibility) or Victor Ortiz (who Floyd already beat).
My dream for Floyd to end his career is like this:
Sept 2011: Victor Ortiz
March 2012: Sergio Martinez at 154
August 2012: Manny Pacquiao
December 2012: Amir Khan
May 2013: Saul Alvarez (hopefully he shows us in the next year or so that he can beat top fighters. Hopefully he fights someone like Lara, Trout, Cotto, Martinez, Angulo, Martirosyan, or even Chavez Jr.)
That would be my ideal dream touches on Floyd Mayweather's career.Comment

1. Why would HBO tell him that?
2. Why would Floyd even care, when he can walk across the street and make the same amount,
3. HBO knows who butters their bread as well. And, Haymon can easily go across the street and butter Showtime bread.
4. Floyd has never, ever been the most active fighter. Ever...Whoever has followed this man career knows this. So he won't start now.Comment

yeah, because he's never fought every 6 months in his whole career, right? The Top Rank thing isnt a huge deal anymore with Oscar kissing up to Arum and all these fighters getting older now. If it makes dollars, it makes sense, and Roger has talked about Cotto alot, just like he use to talk about Mosley. I think they would be open to taking the Cotto fight as the biggest name & money fight out there not named Pac until Khan is readyComment

Floyd's only been hot 3 or 4 times in his whole career.I hope this is true. I've seen too many fighters become addicted to the glitz and glamour and can't give boxing up. Hopefully Floyd invests his money right, so he can indeed walk away.

Again, obviously you don't know who Floyd and this post again proves.yeah, because he's never fought every 6 months in his whole career, right? Who the **** is Oscar to kiss Arum ass? WTF does that mean? That's has nothing to do with the scenario that's it's very unlikely for Floyd to fight 2 out of the 3 Top Rank fighters in the next 18 months. It's asinine to think that he will.Comment
