According to Richard Schaefer of Golden Boy, Floyd will fight 3-4 more times in the next 18 months and call it a career. He swears to god that Floyd will fight regularly till his retirement, and also guarantees that Mayweather-Khan and Mayweather-Pacquiao will happen.
If Schaefer is right, and he's got NO REASON to lie and he's been a stand up guy, as well as never steering us (the fans) in the wrong direction or contradicting himself, or flat out lying about the Mayweather-Pacquiao fight(Money Time: Mayweather's Decision)...like Bob Arum.
I would love to see Floyd fight 3-4 more times regularly till his career is done. I see Floyd fighting his last fight in early 2013, at age 36, before he completely begins to deteriorate and before his skills start to severely erode. If Schaefer is correct, Floyd will fight 3-4 more times until March 2013 (18 months from now) and call it a career.
Do you believe him??? I certainly don't think Floyd be taking a layoff anymore, he can't afford too. And with so many other fight possibilities in the next year and a half, I see him fighting regularly again. I htink Floyd really enjoyed being back in the ring, and seeing how well he performed in his first 4 rounds of activity in 16 months against the #2 WW in the world who is in his prime coming off wins....I must be honest that I am excited to see Floyd fight these last few fights of his career. He really looked just as solid against Ortiz as he did 16 months earlier against Mosley. You can't deny it.
So, what do you think about Schaefer's guarantee of Floyd fighting regurlarly for the next 18 months, 3-4 more times in the next 18 months, and of Floyd fighting Pacquiao and Khan before it calls it a career???
