Floyd will be able to fight a lot longer, his defence is sharp, he may not be as mobile, but he can stand in front of you and make you miss, if hes less mobile he can sit down on his punches more also. I dont see anyone f'in with floyd in the near future.

He looked very vulnerable. And Ortiz was just warming up.

How many times did slow ass Margarito tagged Manny? Joshua Clottey doesn't even set up his straight right hands, and he tagged Manny mostly whenever he threw them. The thing is, You'll ALWAYS get clean punches land on you regardless if you're the best defensive Boxer in Boxing.

In the words of brand nubian

punks jump up to get beat down

"warming up" you mean accelerating his own demise.

You don't have to keep backing up, backpedaling all around the ring if you can control the fight pace, and keep your distance long enough to time your opponents forward movements, punches, ect. Especially if you have great upper body movement to slip most of those punches, it's call fighting tall and taking advantage of your longer reach advantage.

I'm not ashamed to brag about Floyd's defense. It's a part of combat to get hit flush, and the only thing you can do is try not to get hit with the same type of punches for the rest of the fight.

So what he's vulnerable to the straight left hand, but how many of his opponents has landed it at a consistent basis? Floyd has flaws just like every other Boxers, but he has done a terrific good of not letting any of his opponents exploiting his flaws [excluding Jose Luis Castillo].

i think it was a combo of southpaw and him trying to be aggressive to silence the skeptics of him being to defensive/boring/backpedalling. it opened him up to positions hes never been in.

so question is, did he purposely pick fights to perfect his blueprint of how to fight?
