    [Larry]I'd cry if Floyd died[/x]

You worship him more than any other poster in the history of boxing forums.

im not so sure if your assessment of the situation is correct. if you watch the fight, floyd had his gloves down because he was expecting them to touch gloves. if u watch the replay you will clearly see that after they touch gloves, floyd immediately gets his hands up and is on guard. he waits momentarily for ortiz but for some reason, instead of fighting, ortiz goes for a hug. even when he was hugging mayweather, floyd did not punch him. after the hug, ortiz should have had his guard up immediately. instead he stands there, backs off a little and leaves his hands down. thats when floyd hits him. he gave ortiz time to get his guard up but ortiz stood there like an idiot and got knocked out instead.

go watch the replay, u will see what i mean, mayweather did not punch him as he came in to touch gloves. mayweather had his hands down, they touched gloves then floyd got his guard up immediately since thats how you're supposed to fight. ortiz goes for a hug even though he can clearly see floyd has his hands up already. if you see a guys hands up, he's clearly ready to fight so take a hint and get your guard up. dont go wasting time on another hug. even when he was hugging mayweather, floyd did not try to punch him. he only punched him after the hug was over and he gave ortiz about a second to get his guard up. dude decided to stand there with his guard down instead so he got knocked out. that's what happens when you're not ready to fight.

floyd clearly told him that he was ready to fight after they touched gloves and he put his guard up. there are a few angles of this incident, find the camera that is facing floyd and you can clearly see what I mean. floyd only threw the punches after he let ortiz know he's ready to fight after they touched gloves.

also in response to your comment "waited the second they separated from the hug and hit him with a left hook and then hit him with a right hand when Ortiz was looking at the ref like "wtf ref?""

at that moment instead of looking at the ref, ortiz should get his damn hands up. dude kept his hands down the whole time, what the hell did you expect to happen. after floyd gets his hands up to show he's ready to fight, you go and hug him. then you leave your hands down and get punched in the face. even after all that you dont learn your lesson and still keep your hands down. even IF floyd was wrong (im not saying he is) for punching him, don't look at the ref, get your damn hands up and worry about the ref after. any boxer knows that, what the hell are you looking at the ref for?

You take your eyes off your opponent your gonna get smoked out every time and deservedly so.

I'm sick of fighters wasting the fans time by overdoing their hands shakes, hugs etc. They had touched gloves twice already and Cortez resumed the fight why is Ortiz still apologizing and trying to hug Floyd anyway, this isn't sparring, it's time to fight not hug, especially after perpetrating an obvious intentional foul on your opponent. How did Vic not see that coming Floyd practically had smoke coming out of his ears after the headbutt he shoulda known what time it was...
Ortiz did not want to be in the ring with Floyd anymore, I'm 100% convinced of this. When he headbutted Floyd, and then was walked around the ring with Cortez, I think he was so ****ing embarassed that he just gave up right there. I think Floyd possibly felt that Ortiz was gonna just keep trying this bull**** for the rest of the fight, and headbutts aren't something you **** around with, that **** can seriously injure a fighter.. Floyd's too smart for Ortiz, plain and simple.
